More like a line. And there were 5. No seating and each one wearing a different English club shirt, even Newcastle. Look what you've started .

When Daniel comes to a match at some stage we can make that 6!

Okay after a week off it is time to end Otago's 'lucky streak' after all they could not have done it without Canterbury imports.

Watrot? Now he was a find! Mobile, agile, fast. And that was just at the bar! Completely underrated by everyone who saw him play.

Sam Miles and Jeremy Wild both in the Canterbury squad.  Played with those lads for Nomads for a few years.  Have they made appearances at all?

Planning to start coming along to NZFC games more often.  Stopped for about two years as the quality dropped just so low with the team.  Call me a fairweather fan but they were awful, plus Phoenix are the team I support through good and bad, not Canterbury.

Wild on today in the 83rd minute.  Played 2 other games.  Miles is keeping the bench warm at the moment.

Give Jordan a run against Welly, he'll keep a clean sheet!

Bollocks - Batty is the best keeper in Canterbury by a long way

Need a good win against Wellywood tomorrow to peg back the "B's" who had a good 3-0 win over Noheart Manawatu today. Go the Dragons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was in reference to our governing body deciding not to enter a team in the NZFC, then changing their minds.

Perhaps a Mod can change the thread name. Don't want to confuse the others...

What was the red for Foal?   Last man tackle while through on goal?
Permalink Permalink
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
ref said "you denied him a goalscoring opportunity"
no consolation the guy had already scuffed his shot and the keeper had picked it up

paradoxically this decision probably kept Russell Kamo on the park for a "late and high" tackle about 15 minutes later.

He still had the keeper to beat - and fell over his own boots from what I saw.  Very poor refereeing decision.

Well done Canty. Never tire of seeing the gyppos getting beat.

well Roy was probably unlucky to get sent off
the thing is even if your first yellow card is totally unwarranted it won't stop your second one.
Tim(?) got a card for dissent...fair cop to the ref for this however I think it was his fourth barrage of abuse.
Canterbury 2nd goal was good passing and composed finish by Russell Kamo
#4 was a acrobatic volley after Ging Clapham's freekick hit the woodwork

Waitakere had injuries and (I think) BTotot suspended but for sure the Dragons deserved the 3 points

The blue half of Auckland salutes you - nothing capped off our win against Otago like hearing about Waitak getting thumped!

Anyone else excited that we can actually talk about playoff football this season?

Disappointed we lost to Waikato (How the f**k did we go from beating Waitakerie 4-0 to losing to f**king Waikato?) on the weekend, but hopefully we can pick up points on the road against Hawkes Bay and at Home against Manawatu to take us back into the top 4.

Oh, Canterbury's stripey is brilliant. Anyone know where I can get one shipped from?

Two games in hand and with two comfortable victories I can smell third place already.

That would be good. Canterbury Dragons will be able to use spare weekends
before playoffs for competitive games.
Need the leagues best CB back from injury for Dragons to have a chance. http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Looks like there could be rain this afternoon in Christchurch.

Keith has said he has all players available for selection.  Canterbury to win with four in the net I say.

Not quite onthemoney there (see what I did!). We actually banged in 6!

And Hawkes Bay just did us a massive favour by beating Wellington at home!
