3-1 final score.
Coombes literally took quarter of an hour to get off the field. Stopped to tie up his laces then take the tape off his socks and throw it on the field, grab his shinpads and put them down his pants, and slowly meander to the changing rooms. Could have taken longer if Mr Incredible hadn't shouted "f**k off you stupid c**t" at the top of his lungs with several children around him.
Heard a door slam as he went in for his shower.
About 500 were in attendance.

You can't expect me to last 90 minutes without one outburst.

Were you hitting the Montana's again?
Three for me, and two for them.

They only had Speights.
Will you be joining me at Kiwitea Street on the 11th?

Was this number arrived at by using the TWs sophisticated attendance tracking system?

No. They have tickets and everything.

My first estimate was actually 88 while Daniels was 125. But to be extra accurate we decided to use 'TWs sophisticated attendance tracking system' - so in short, yes.

A.C. in All Whites training squad.
Go A.C.and Canterbury. More to come after the final?

Found out that we beat Auckland many days late as I'm in Tonga and, until today, have been far from internet (and this internet is disgracefully slow) and I'm so happy.
Looking forward to us smashing Waitakere, winning the O-League comfortably before putting Barca or whoever to the sword in the Club World Cup.

Don't feel bad about missing the result until now. We don't mind re-living the 3-0 win all over again. Want be to run you through the highlights? Hehehe

You know what really gets on my wick? Why the f**k is the NZFC final being played at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon WHEN EVERYBODY IS PLAYING FOOTBALL AND CAN'T WATCH IT!!!! Not a very clever move by NZF.
When has NZF ever made a clever move?
Three for me, and two for them.
Well they did appoint Ricki as head coach...

That sucks big time.
We will be trouncing Varsity at the same time as the final...
Sky TV- the new TVNZ?
Probably not Sky's fault.
Waitakere played the Semi at that time as well, meant no one from here who played could travel (I was going to).
Going to have to make sure it's on in the clubrooms after our 12:30 game so then cycle between the two matches at Naenae and the TV coverage.
Ridiculous.

Further to this, annoyingly you just know the viewing audience will be tiny and used as a stick to beat the showing of the match in the future.
Not taking in to account the ridiculous timeframes, the complete absence of promotion or the fact that (I asume it is at Fred Taylor) it's being played in front of 25 people and a dog.
I do despair about NZF's committment to the NZFC.

It is at Fred Taylor. Not that it matters much to me as we start warming up at 1.45 for a 2.30 kick off. Premiers wont get to watch it either as they kick off at 2.45.
Yeah, we're at 12:30 so will probably miss the first twenty, but should be watching the firsts and Masters from 14:30.

If the crowd will be more than 25 and a dog butall from Canterbury.

at least NZ's favorite city is represented in the final again
they should of played it down here if they wanted a real crowd, we are not fair-weathered fans . I mean we finally get a Phoenix game and we set national record...
after winning the youth league a victory on Saturday should cement us as Aotearoa's #1 Football City

I agree, should have played it at English Park. After all....
Is a stadium type ground (Waitakere, open field)
Cant has a covered stand and seating (Waitakere no covered stand, very little seating)
Cant clean and tidy clubrooms (Waitakere pub, low end)
Cant clean and nice changing rooms/facilities (Waitakere unfortunate)
Cant has good support (Waitakere supporters, are there any, outnumbered by 'others' hoping they lose)
Local TV Canterbury would have also covered the game. Auckland, yeah right.
C'mon you reds.

You are forgetting one thing. Waitak earnt the right to host the final. You didn't. Deal with it.

such a shame. It could have been a different outcome if they hadn't been down a man. I watched it on sky this afternoon and thought it was exciting at times.

All you ask for is referee consistency. Fair enough when Cross decided to send off the Canterbury player - but surely Sykes should have been sent off for an equally bad challenge ten minutes later.
It's a shame that poor refereeing has cost the underdogs a proper shot at the title.

Worst day ever. I'm sick so stood on the sideline as Halswell went down 3-1 in the pooring rain against a poor HSOB side. Then I get home to find we lose to Waitakere 3-1 too
