Canterbury squad for 2014/15 from today's Press

T Schwarz, Highfield, Knight, Terris, Clapham, M John, Stansfield, D Schwarz, O'Brien, Mitchell, Barton, Boys, Collett, Wellbourn, Taco- Bierema, O Evans, Rossi Nkoy (Western Springs), Tom Boss (Hastings College, USA), Mario Hoffman (ECBays).

Anyone see anything  of the new boys playing??

Dan Ede's late season transfer not paid off?

And Stu Kelly wants more money to play, according to Press report ?

The last time I was speaking with Dan Ede sounded like he was heading over to either the UK or the USA for a break over the sumner so do not think he was expectng  to be playing in the ASB Premiership in th coming season.

Should say Tom Boss (Birkenhead United). He was here all this season.

Three for me, and two for them.

No chance of a CTFC player negotiating over $!!!!

That's a new record foal , normally coastal lads give us a good 4 weeks after the season finished before rolling the old barbs and accusations . Only been 1 week , saying that it probably is about 4 weeks that your team stopped playing

Tom Boss is a decent defender but a bit prone to silly fouls in poor positions (see youtube Birko v Central CCup). Hoffman surprises me but as other have said, he is scoring. Not aware of the lad from Springs.

Tom Boss dosn't normally play defence though does he?  I didn't seem him play this year I admit but in previous seasons for Birko he has played the high midfield role

I think JV may have been confusing Tom Boss (Midfielder) with Tom Davis (Defender).

I think you are right. I think I am thinking of Tom Webb. My apologies. Tom Boss is also a good midfielder.

OK, I had forgotten about the third Tom. I'm pretty sure it was Tom Webb who gave away 1 of the 3 pens against Central in the CC game game that you mentioned earlier too.

Oh of course Broonie,

A few may have better things to do on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

I'll get along for a number of games, regardless of the club affiliations of the side. Nearly all "Representative" teams feature a high % of players from the currently strongest side. Appropriate CTFC have a large number involved.

Same applies with Coastal and the Pride.

Gave the 'nix a run for their money today only going down 6-2 in the last 90 minutes :)

I saw him play a game for Ngaruawahia and was a little surprised at the hype around him. Mind you, Ngaruawahia were a side out of their depth and being one of their better players, he was easy to target and shut down so....

Disagree, and thought he was great for Canterbury last season. Yes not the most physical player, but plenty of skill and good ball control at feet, with decent pace.

He did a lot of work, as wide attacker left or right, and complemented Kamo's game well

.

My the Nix must have improved a FFuug lot since the Keith B teams played them in pre seasons past or are we worse by a Fuug lot.

Based on what I saw against the Phoenix the other day, players with good skill who like the ball at feet probably wouldn't fit the game plan.

To be balanced though, they were under the pump from start to finish.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Players in brackets were youth squad members who Devine told me were training with/in and around the first-team squad, but not full members.

Apart from my list having Boys, and those two kids, they look the same lot of names to me.
