Any thoughts on relegation from CL?
Stop Out would have to beat Island Bay (possible) and Miramar (less likely) to stay up. (IBU with only the game against Stop Out to play).

You'd think Miramar would be motivated, as if they win their last 2, and Wests beat NCR, then Miramar would get into the NL Championship phase.

I guess, in theory if Stop out win over IBU by 4+ goals, and nick a draw with miramar they can also stay up.

I think that makes Stop Out goneburger.

I think it's for the best. Rotation to a single league rather than two federations should help bridge the gap between the top and bottom clubs overtime

Stop Out with it all to do huh? Need two wins from two. Hard to see it given the rest of the season results.

And Stop out relegated after losing to IBU

On a happier note, Wellington Olympic played their 1,000th game today with captain Ben Mata scoring a hatrick

How long before we hear that Rovers are representing all the farmers from the regions and footballing back waters outside of the cities in the national league...

If he hasn't done it yet, I'll have to give Bill a stir-up.  Can't have people like wff being disappointed - very disconcerting that we aren't meeting expectations off the field.

That wasn't a dig at Bill, fair play to him has done decent job scouting and bring players in from all over.  National league for Rovers shouldn't be such a surprise as they make it out to be, surely it's a minimum for the club.

He’s not wrong though is he. There aren’t even any Hamilton teams in the NL this year.

From what I can see at present, there might not be any Hamilton teams in the Northern League top division next year

Good luck to Palm North United. Don't need another awful artificial turf surface in the Central League. There's enough plastic not-fantastic surfaces in the Central League with Wellington clubs already

A bit new to the local scene so just asking if it's common for Central League club board members to have to sign confidentiality agreements as part of their term. Is it a directive from NZ Football or just for each club to determine?

Sounds like a local deal.  Haven't had to do that at my Club

ok thanks, apparently this is the 2nd season now that this club has done it. Seems quite ott. They have also posted reasonable financial losses over that time.

It should not be needed, but that’s the world we’ve built.
If you are not specifically told you can’t do something and agree to that, you’ll probably do the dirty, hence confidentiality agreements.

Not “you”, ‘you’, if you know what I mean.

2025 season coming up. Any moves yet?

Leo Villa to IBU, I did hear that Matt Brassier had joined Nth Wellington? Anyone can confirm?

I see on the Southern Thread that Wilkinson is rumoured to be heading South. He was at Olympic yeah? No doubt they will be looking to strengthen after a disappointing National league

Any new players heading North to Upper Hutt?

Theo Ettema, Thomas Alvirado and Louis Fenton to Miramar. Keylin Nguyen to Wests. Josh Rogerson and Ollie Van Rijsel to ChCh Utd. Contratti gone back North.
