I thought Ricky Gillies was ok. To be honest with you, I think these 'international' signings that come over and play in the NZFC need to play down the fact that they have played in some English or scottish teams reserves and just get in with proving thmeselves here. We had that guy come over who had played for Man Utd as a trainee when he was about 7 or something haha and I havnt been that impressed with Kirkup at all.

although i agree with you on the website not being up to scratch i have to ask do you ever have anything positive to say?? every comment on here and on other threads is always negative. now you have a right to your opinion and i know we've looked pretty awful at times but were 4th in the league have the Phoenix coming and if ive not said it once ive said it a 100 times probably have  the best setup in terms of facilities and volunteers in nz outside the Phoenix franchise.

It's probably because Hawke's Bay have such a good set-up that the question needs to be asked as to why they don't perform a little better. If they have got everything in their favour on so many fronts, why do they struggle with the other bits?

Waikato FC have a really weird set up, aren't paying players anything, not even the coach, have no money, play at a venue that has hardly got anything, but are flying and looking better every week. Something for the X Files.

having the best set up doesnt mean we're all of a sudden going to have a magnificent team doesnt work like that. Waikato actually have some good players in their squad and just because they don't get paid or whatever doesnt mean there going to be bad footballers. some of them could play for other franchises but don't want to relocate ect ect. Having the best behind the scenes team and facilities doesnt mean your going to have a team full of stars. Hawkes Bay did beat waikato 2-1 though.... waikato's bubble to burst 2nd half of the season for me

mate have you ever been in the changing rooms there?? they are very average compared to those at park island. the after match both times i played there against city was average and there were no reserved seats for the away team??and the city clubrooms have nothing on Uniteds.   park island is just as good if not better than kiwitea st.

Wot's wrong with the picture? It sums up the tone of every single one of your posts. Now, lets get back on topic so you can tell us why Auckland FC are in such disarray this year. All that money going where?
