Bryne Kris Bright is out two to three weeks with a groin injury.

In the last friendly against leaf started Kris Bright on top with Geir Andr Herrem. Now it is clear that the newcomer loses both dress rehearsal against Vard and series start against the current 9 april.

- Kris Bright received a wound in the groin when we practiced ksnevad this week, and he is probably out two to three weeks, says Bryne coach Tommy Bergersen to Aftenbladet.no

Bryne coach can appreciate that Marius Helle is in full training, and he is probably on top with Herrem the dress rehearsal against Vard in Bryne Stadium Sunday at 18

In the fight against leaf Asked Bryne in a kind of 4-3-1-2-formation. It is probably also the formation Vard. This means that Brazilian Diogo Fernandes will be in an offensive midfield role behind the two strikers to Bryne.

Football Nomaden Kris Bright has signed a contract with the Finnish league club FC Haka.

25-year-old came to Bryne before this season but has struggled to establish themselves on the team. When the offer came from Finland, was Bryne willing to drop newzealenderen. He scored two goals in 13 league matches for Bryne. In seven of these battles he entered as a substitute.

Within a few days, Bryne thus replaced Kris with Chris. Chris Pozniak is known that obtained on loan from FK Haugesund, and debuts in Sunday's home game against Notodden.

Managing Director of Bryne FK, Jan Hauge, would not comment on the economy in connection with Kris Brights transition to FC Haka. But Bryne save any salary for a player who sat mostly on the bench.

Hauge does not exclude multiple transitions in the summer.

Always liked the name FC Haka with its Kiwi ring to it....

Notice they're currently 10th in the twelve team league, with only two regular season games left...Chris James' KuPs are bottom.

My FC Haka contact tells me Bright scored 16 minutes into his debut. About 30 mins gone in the game, I assume it's 1-0 Haka.

Bright played the full 90 and haka were lucky to get the draw 2 minuts before the end http://fr.soccerway.com/matches/2012/08/12/finland/veikkausliiga/football-club-honka/football-club-haka-valkeakoski/1249506/

Just heard he got his second goal for the club, but Haka lost 9-2!

EDIT: The man himself has tweeted a youtube link for that goal. Decent strike, though from the reaction, it's safe to assmue the scoreline was pretty lopsided by then

After half a season in Bryne, Bright then found himself playing in an accustomed midfield role. With the team struggling in the league, limited opportunities as a striker, and offers from other teams, Bright signed a short term deal on Auguest 2 with FC Haka in the Finland Premier League. Bright cited his reasons for leaving were "to get regular playing time as a striker to score goals".

Bright scored a goal in a 2-2 home draw. Unfortunately Haka are on the relegation spot of the Veikkausliga; but still many games to play

The aptly-named FC Haka lost their fight to stay off the bottom of the Veikkausliiga despite a 1-0 win in final match of the season.  Kris Bright will have to wait to see what is in store for his side.

Just reading the article it seems like it is not a done deal yet - playing in a CCM NYL game. Will be an injury replacement player for Kwasnik

While it's understood that Turnbull still hopes that Matsui could be a target for next season, the Mariners do have the prospect of a more immediate - albeit less exalted - signing in former New Zealand Knights striker Kris Bright.

While Graham Arnold's squad heads to Perth to face Glory tomorrow, the 26-year-old will play for the Mariners youth team this weekend in a bid to win an injury-replacement contract as cover for Adam Kwasnik.

Hope he does well, would love another Kiwi at another club in the league.

I would not place any stock in Kris Bright. Being trawling around a lot of low level Euro football, never sticks anywhere and isn't even on the national teams radar #beentheredonethat

Not disagreeing with you but Kevin Keegan was turned down by a lot of clubs before he made it.

He also had a really good year in Denmark and was poised to sign with their top club before he did his knee and didn't play again for almost a year.

Also got signed to a UKLeague 1 side (was top scorer for reserves) but decided to leave as game time was still not coming his way as oppose to sit happily and collect a pay check.

So a little harsh, all it takes is one game, aka Smeltz for a strikers career to be made.

I can accept all of that.

Before Smeltz went away, he was scoring in Australia and in NZ. Kris Bright, when he has played national league has done fuck all. I know its not a definitive indicator but considering he has been back a couple of times, Ricki will know who he is, he has been through the A League, I really think this is a whole bunch of hype about nothing.

i think thats a bit harsh and i think hes on the radar. herbert just has the likes of wood, smeltz, killen & fallon to call on. nzf and herbert are hardly going to be turning their nose up at him. our depth is horrendous so he won't have been discounted.

So on one hand, we have Smeltz, Killen & Fallon to call on but the other our depth is horrendous? Which is it?
You also forgot the others he is sitting behind too. If he was any good (and on the radar like you suggest), surely he'd get a look in over Gameiro, Pav, etc. Oh wait...

Overrated when he was young.  ASBP level at best.  As others here have stated would be best if he did just drop off the radar.  Don't see CCM picking him up.  As for scoring for fun in League 1 reserves, the quality there is terrible, makes the ASBP look like the A League.
