The FIFA+ for some reason doesn't have an Apple TV app, which is annoying, as previously it was easy to fire it up, bring up the YT app and watch that way.
No Apple TV app yet supports later versions of various TV's , well actually LG and Samsung only🤦‍♂️
No ability to pause etc either.

correct, miss read that sorry. however united have done well to knock them over twice. they could push most sides if they remain injury free and get a couple back

Everyone has a bogey team. If Auckland  City drop points it will blow the league wide open.
Sadly, I think the best chance to do that was on Saturday and the WeeNix blew it

"Blew it" with a matchday squad with an average age of 18, the majority of whom have only had a handful of Central League games and were making their NL debuts. In what way did they blow it?

No shade intended on the WeeNix, but I don't think any other team will have as good a chance as they did to take points off ACFC

Suburbs drew both games against them in the Northern League.

Three for me, and two for them.

Weird take given there's teams that have already done so this season in the NL & an understrength Nix reserves side is not the best Central League side in the comp.

Valley FC til I die?

Watch NCR v Petone at week thought score flattered NCR. Petone play some good football and keep ball well. Just wish they would be a bit more adventurous and take a risk in the final 3rd, they were  frustrating watch.

Did everyone who qualified for the national league meet the U20 mins target for the regional phase??

Bit late to the party but my predictions below.
  1. Auckland City
  2. Christchurch United
  3. Eastern Suburbs
  4. Wellington Olympic
  5. Auckland United
  6. Nix Reserves
  7. Cashmere Technical
  8. Manurewa
  9. Napier City Rovers
  10. Petone
Gutted we will have to wait until the last match day to see Auckland City vs Christchurch United as I think the big city lads are the only ones that can stop Christchurch United. Although Wellington Olympic will be a good game.

National League Championship added to Fotmob (Football app)

Also on Sofascore, which covered the Northern/Central/Southern Leagues too. 😉

Not that it really matters, but why do Olympic appear at the top of the league on Tribe, sofascore etc. but NZF put Rovers up top?

Feel free to add your favourite conspiracies below.

Yes, the lack of ability to pause a live stream or rewind when required due to leaving the action for a toilet break / making a cuppa / answering a phone call etc. means I will probably watch most games on demand after they have finished.
Initially I found the large number of ads playing at intervals during an on demand video on FIFA+ annoying.
However.....
A tech-savvy friend just recommended I install this free software on my computer and I can say it works very well in blocking nearly all ads online (on websites and when watching videos).
I'm finding that it blocks all ads on FIFA+ for a much better viewing experience.
I use it on my laptop's Chrome browser.
It's free ad blocker software installed on my laptop for Chrome.
It's called "ublock origin" and is free.
It's a fairly new one and I found in fact it blocks all ads when playing videos on FIFA+  (as it does on You Tube)
Details here:
Scroll down to the bottom and choose whichever browser you use under "Platforms"

I have it installed for Chrome - easy to turn on and off by clicking "Chrome extensions" tab at top right)

Reviews by PC Magazine of the top five ad blockers (ublock is the best):

A tip if you are having problems with lagging when watching videos on FIFA+  - click on the cog symbol at top right every time when playing a video and select "HD" rather than the default "HD+" which I found causes the video to lag.
HD works fine for me on my laptop.

I have collated a combined fixture list of all home games for Christchurch teams in the men's and women's national leagues.

Makes it easy to see which games are on in Christchurch through the busy October, November period.

The draw is very unfair - with the men's league only having nine games for each team, some teams only play four home games, some get five.
Cashmere Technical only have four home matches - so they only have three more left (blink and you'll miss them)!!!
Christchurch United have five home games (including their final regular match at home on Fri. Nov. 10 vs local rivals Cashmere Tech).
And United have the advantage of three home matches in a row on 14, 21 and 29 Oct.
Both Tech and United are unlucky to draw Auckland City away.
Fixture clashes: Sat. 14 Oct. Pride women and Chch United men are at home at the same time.
Sat. 21 Oct. - both Tech and United are at home at mid-day.
A bit disappointing for those of us who like to take in all three sides' home matches.

Matches playing in Christchurch (combined for the two men's teams and one women's league team)
Venues:
Cashmere Technical men: Nga Puna Wai Sports Hub, Hillmorton
A new venue unfamiliar to most of us even in Christchurch.
Was used as a training facility by teams during the FIFA Women's World Cup.
Here on Google Maps:

Canterbury Pride women: English Park, Cranford St.

If you think the draw is unfair to the Christchurch teams, spare a thought for Napier.  They asked for Sunday games so were given a home game on the weekend of the U19 Tournament at Labour weekend.  No thought given to the effect of 72 teams at the tournament and the pressure on the volunteers for that day.  Also, the publicity will be nil for the National league game.
Also, the Eastern Suburbs game at Napier has been set down for Saturday 11 of November - the same day as the Robin Williams concert at the Mission.  I sometime wonder if NZ Football take this competition seriously.

72 teams worth of players and supporters that might attend the game. What time does it kick off? Not the first tine has worked out like that.

Game set down for 2pm - the same time as 24 teams are just leaving the field, and 24 teams about to take their place.  The few games we have had in the past have been 4pm kick-off, or even on the Monday.

+10 GD after 2 rounds.
If anything else, Napier can count themselves lucky it wasn't double digits this afternoon.
8-1 or 7-1? The commentator/production team had it as 8 but the eighth 'goal' was given offside, and it was a bit clear given Stevens' reaction just before they cut to the replay (plus you could just see the referee's arm up indicating offside). They then returned to live with NCR playing the ball at the back rather than a kick off which should have made it clear/been the second chance to get it right.

Is there any other league where the production/commentators/team would get the score wrong? Love the league haha. At least NZF have recorded it as correctly as 7-1 on the website.

Hahaha, just watched it back on the replay skipping to the last 10 minutes, and yes 7-1. Was skipping in and out for the last quarter of that one so missed it initially.

I have questions around that commentary though. Didn't even try to rectify his mistake. 😅

Not sure if you're being sarcastic... but clearly most of the commentaries are done remotely these days.
