NZ National League Women
Makes the league very close with just 2 points covering the top 5, with Auckland United and Southern United in the top 2 (grand Final) positions - they play each other this weekend in Auckland.
Wellington United came from 2-0 for the second time this season to win, beating Wellington Phoenix 3-2, they take on Western Springs on Sunday in a rematch of the Kate Sheppard Cup semi final - game is 3:30pm Kick off on Sunday at Newtown Park
Wharfies aren't far off the pace either just 3 points behind the leading pack and they should get a win against bottom place Ellerslie at Martin Luckie on Saturday (3:45pm Kick off)
Two more goals for Ella McCann of @WgtnPhoenixAcad and both were mean finishes

Hmm, that Wharfies- Ellerslie game was until recently a 3:30pm kick-off, now no chance of getting to the Cake-tin straight after.

Pushed back? Will be the earlier men’s game which was on a Sunday a while back.
Credit to Ellerslie who punished a bumptious Suburbs team and suddenly Suburbs have gone from sitting pretty on top to having their destiny out of their hands.
Central also gave Southern a mighty shake-up and I thought the final scoreline flattered Southern. But suddenly they're in a great position for a final spot the way I read things. They'll definitely have to step it up against Ellerslie though or they'll suffer the same fate as Suburbs.
With a potential 2nd ALW team next year. There has been a lot to play for. Just such a shame the comp is only one round and about to end.

No idea, I guess many will be for a lack of better options. Some like Lancaster could find a pro opportunity elsewhere prior. A few domestic based Kiwis got picked up by other non Nix ALW clubs this season.
But more was thinking most on that list would be excited by the potential opportunity to sign for NZ's 2nd pro ALW team in 6 mths, rather than waiting 18 mths. Though understand the rationale of Foley just launching the ALM team initially.
