Yeah TVNZ coverage of the game was pathetic - just the Menapi kick as mentioned above. TV3 far superior which has been a trend over recent times (for Football and just about everthing else) and TV1 viewership has dropped accordingly. I  think the only people still watching TV1 news in the 25-40 demographic are probably all Young Nat members.

BTW some great goals in that final

Quite a shock when Waitak score because a good 1,000 stood up to cheer.
Seemed like a lot of Waitak club colours on the night.
Looked like a 3k crowd after the stragglers turned up.

Three was much more positive.  Showed the goals, inteviewed Sykes and showed the Auckland boys going berserk in the changing rooms.

During the Sykes interview did you hear the bang? That was Nola.

Three for me, and two for them.

I remember similar at the Melville vs Uni-Mount Chatham Cup final.

All the noise from the Melville fans, and a ghost town from the Uni-Mount supporters.

Yes that was a huge disappointment that 2003 Chatham Cup final. It had fairy tale written all over it but the wrong team won. I think the knitting club turned up for Uni Mount though.

Nice to see this years NZFC had the right result. I'd have given up football had those t**sers from out west won it.

He's gone to Gisborne.

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?
