Auckland City should be winning by a couple of goals already. Awful first half from TW

Auckland get a second.  Don't think TW can come back this time.

Woeful display from Wellington.

Time to turn off the idiotbox.  What an utter disappointment.

Auckland city with another master class in playing the referee. But Team Wellington were utter rubbish. Corrales, or however you spell it, needs a real attitude check. Long throw into the box 10 odd times? Absolutely nothing comes of it. Long ball? Nothing. Absolute sharke.

How bad is TW bench to not see any subs earlier?

As I said In an earlier post ACFC attack would run rings around TW its just a pity AK City don't do it with more Kiwi's it wouldn't be hard. Calcott is a idiot should of made changes earlier

Ah okay I stand corrected 5 then.

It is a sad state of affairs when the number of eligible all whites is a minority for both sides.

True.

Also sad though are the comments from Devlin and co. on Radio Sport along the lines of "I hope the locals beat the imports of Auckland City" Guess its either ignorance or a xenophobic attitude that only non Anglo Saxon names are "Imports".

Criticism of Matt Calcott is ignorant and typically clueless of the morons on here. He is one of the most successful coaches in NZ.

Today he was an idiot and should have made changes sooner.

No record is good enough to make you exempt from criticism.

Describing a coach who is taking charge of a team in a champions league final an idiot is idiocy. It is especially so if the person doing so hasn't been anywhere near or will ever be in that situation. Therefore in conclusion that person is the idiot.

So you are saying you have to coach a team participating in the OFC Champions League team to criticise a coach of a team participating in the OFC Champions League?

I still can't understand how Feneridis is a national league player. Completely invisible again yesterday (cards aside). Struggles to win possession and passing is terrible. Complete daylight between the influence Lewis had and he did.

I think that "Matt Calcott is having a shocker" or even "Matt Calcott deserves the sack for that disaster" is fair comment that anyone can make. "Matt Calcott is an idiot" is just wrong.

I wouldn't take everything so literally. One commentator said "he's an idiot" while I reaffirmed he was an idiot yesterday. It's exactly the same as calling a Premier League player sharke. Of cause they're not sharke, they're better than 99% of people on earth. But in context he wasn't good enough.

ACFC have got a fair number of Kiwis in the squad - if you include soon to be citizen White.

In the semi final Hudson-Wihongi, Lewis, White, De Vries, Edge and Den Heijer all were out there at the same time, and Hudson-Wihongi and Lewis in midfield, with Bilen as the the experienced head, could be one to last for the AWs in future - impressive.

This year we brought in Rivas after some shaky performances, and Mikel Alonso who disappeared after the club world cup - but also Nico Berry got some game time and a few other Kiwi lads too.

The Kiwi lads in the side are mostly young, and a lot of the imports are heading to or over 30 - can't believe Taku is 32 tbh - there'll be a shift over to the younger lads, it'll take time.

Thought TeeDubs were better than us in the NZFC final, but couldn't find that groove yesterday. Bring on next season.
