O-League crowds in the island nations put the Nix and NZFC to shame.

KOLOALE FC Vs HEKARI SOUTHS UNITED FC
Solomon Islands

Attendance: 14,000

WAITAKERE UNITED Vs PORT VILA SHARKS

Group A
Trusts Stadium
Henderson
Saturday 22 November 2008
Attendance: 400.

Think this shows alot of things wrong with NZ football.
Last season KOLOALE FC had 20,000+ at the O-League final home game.

yeah buit you have to realise that for people up in the islands, they wait a whole week for this game. Kiwis wait a whole week to go to the beach and drink piss with their mates or watch rugby or league or cricket. They don't do that in the islands.

Thought 400 might have been generous too !
Awful game and Waitak will be slaughtered in japan on that performance.
Andrew "Waitakere" Dewhurst's column in Waitakeres programme argued passionately that Phoenix should not be eligible for CWC. Main basis would be that it will destroy the NZFC as clubs will have nothing to aim for. Think that Waitaks likely  performance in Japan is going to do that rather than Phoenix participating in O League and winning through to CWC.

Despite what maney belive, NZ could put up 4 Professional clubs. When you look at the bidders for the sub licence before Tony S took it, there where 3 bids. Buy 2011 you would think people will want change and to stand on there own feet, Bring in a Pro NZ League and totally scap the ethnic run NZFC.

Ethnic run NZFC?  Is this part of the same conspiracy that has the mighty Yellow Fever bosses imposing a rule of terror over westpac stadium?

LOLs.

This isn't NSW or Victoria Convict.
Yeah your right, It was a long flight back from Wellington for me.

I ment scrap it like the enthnic ran NSL was.
I googled around and found there was 4 bids (in NZ)for the A-League sub licence - 1 left the bid then and  another 3 kept going, with 2 of them willing to merge and the other bidder didnt want to - funding was a issue.
Then out of no-where Tony S came and got it.

So there were 5 bidders in all. What happen to the other 4 bidders? They must have llike the idear of a Pro club, so where are they now? Will they put there hand up to form a Pro league when or If the Nixs are withdrawn from the A-League.
