I can see him playing in Asia, probably too old to be picked up by a euro side.

What a bloody awesome item on him on TV3 sportsnews tonight. Shows him to be humble, a real role model and star to his people. Amazing where he's come from. Cool that he was kicking a ball around in barefeet. Crossbar shots.

That he was playing Fiji and therefore didn't really underestimated them.

Fiji have announced some friendlies, probably means Krishna will be unavailable for a Phoenix game in November.

Fiji will travel to Indonesia for their first international friendly in August before returning home to host Estonia in November.

The Vodafone Fijian football coach Christophe Gamel has named four overseas based players in his a 30-member squad for the international friendly against Indonesia on September 2.

England based Scott Wara, New Zealand based Shravan Sharama, Krith Kumar and Roy Krishna, will be joining the team as well.

I love Roy so much. Everything about him. The type of player he is, how hard he works on and off the pitch, the career path he's taken, he's just fantastic, a great role model for people from all walks of life.

I was in a taxi in Nadi and asked if they new of Roy Krishna and the guy was super excited to talk about him - he's obviously revered over there too, which is a big deal in a rugby mad country.

it could be a good move to let him go play for Fiji this weekend since we are not playing. Good PR for the Phoenix

And a happy Krishna couldn't hurt either.

Roy looked pretty downcast on the bench, appeared to be sitting down the other end, away from everyone else as well. Things don't seem rosy that's for sure.

Yep. People playing it down but something is definitely not right there.

I'm speculating that another A league club is sniffing around wanting him and have offered him a nice deal.

He sees that we are a sharke team, wants to go but we are holding him to his contract.

Considering his love for the Phoenix, I doubt that is the case.

I wouldn't be surprised. Didn't exactly look like he was loving the club last week!

Krishna is 3 goals away from equaling Ifill as the highest ever Nix goal scorer, him getting a hatty tonight would be nice

We can all hope so, but wasn't there a pretty strong rumour that Newcastle was interested in signing Krishna. Plus, and I'm probably wrong, don't they have a free import spot at the moment.

Jets have two visa spots at the moment. Adelaide, Roar, CCM, Victory Sydney and WSW all have one left. Only us and Perth have used all five spots

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

Holy fudge I feel so proud, being the guy in charge of making that. Believe me, the choices were VERY thin for Indian/Fijian faces and tones so I ended up with a final product akin to Arturo Vidal joining a boy band. Had to use a Latin American preset, and since individual features can't be changed he's gonna have to look off

I thought you were older and wiser Vader.

I am sure Lia and Moss loved the NIx once. Doesn't mean didly squat

I'll be heartbroken if we do lose Krishna.

Such an awesome player with such wonderful energy.  I hope some love for the Nix and Wellington keeps him here if there are people sniffing with good offers.

If he is gonna leave us I don't think he will leave in January, Think he would complete his contract and then go. We've potentially come out the other side of a mid-season club crisis, and theres now the beginnings of genuine optimism. his mate Burns returning, the Vidosic duo leaving - I think Krishna has enough class and dedication to the club to at least give us the opportunity to improve in the second half of the season and convince him of staying

Annual finals disappointment enthusiast.
