Agreed, even a massive centre back could meg him. But that doesnt take it away from wild, who as well as ripping top corners all over the show had the girls at uni drooling.

The worst problem is hes a nice guy and when you play against the guy like that youd really like to hate him.

Boy all you guys seem to do down in the arsehole of the world is moan about each other, I would say that none of you guys would be able to make it up here in the big smoke.
Do you country folk even know what a latte is??
As for all this chat about players eg Mather,Cunningham,Evans & Wild the only one I know off is Cunningham half decent player (would be riding the pine up here).
The standard of play is not of a very high standard if you have got that muppet (Evans) playing, he was a complete muppet when he played for Central up here, sh*t if he's making the team of the week you must be desperate.
You guys will get wholloped by by us Northern League teams in the cup, so enjoy your time in the sunlight whille you can LOSERS!!!!

Wild and Cunningham would make most northern league teams but ok

Pete Evans is the best keeper in the south Island, and possibly NZ right now. All our good All Whites keepers are pretty much all overseas now (barring Spoonley who is of course very classy too)

MThorne I think you are suffering from a bit of MFOMO up there (morbid fear of missing out)

You need to get down to the SPL to appreciate the good quality football and banter that goes on afterwards. Where else would you rather be.....ask Rab aye....(he will answer Hibernian though)

get this up ya!!!!!!!

Hearing rumours that irish man Colin Falvey could be on his way back from the states to play for Mosgiel again. This is rumoured to be next season and likely to be funded by the fee received for young starlet Cam Howieson who signed with Burnley in England. Could be a coup for the club.

i havent heard any thing like that but if Mosgiel are ever to win the league its not another defender they need its a quality striker one feels if they were to sign  tom jackson or even aaron burgess they would win the league maybe something to ponder there Mosgiel

Arsehole of the world aye...mate come down here and we will see who is the arsehole, lot tougher brand of footy than you jafas up in latte-town. What club you sit on the bench for big guy?

And players in the form XI are just certain people's opionions not the general concensus by any means.

Im going to throw it out there, Varsity is looking good and could ruin a couple title runs this year without a doubt and the 2nd round will see some huge matchups for Rab to blow his load over

I love how some puppet from Auckland feels he's qualified to pass judgement on the SPL. You must be a sad little man if you have nothing better to do then to go onto a forum on which you have no idea what or who people are talking about and still try and tell em their sh#t. Fuk off back to ur own forum ya dropkick!! You should not try and move above your station!! Wata knob!!

Can't believe Tech only won 7-2 away to Queenstown, thats rubbish, surely they should be trashing teams with their long ball Wimbledon style hack fest?

Does your coach allow you to yellowfever update when you're playing, must be a keeper, surely?

IM BACK!!! great victory for my beloved technical yesterday

sounds like Roslyn are now the team to watch, apparently they passed spirit off the park yesterday. No Barry Gardniner though.

Chatham Cup this week - with the big 4 teams all still alive in that comp. All other clubs are not worthy of a mention in my opinion. Mosgiel not entering the cup is a disgrace.

Sorry got to run - pizza delivery man has just arrived at the door with my usual order

cavvy to beat western in extra time, tech to go down to united, roslyn to win on pens
Permalink Permalink
almost 15 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History
Still believe tech's longball to the man mountain burgess will see them through comfortably, roslyn to do varsity by four, exam time and post exams the students will fall to pieces right on cue
Permalink Permalink

Cavvy to beat Western agreed. Tech and Roslyn to both advance. Christchurch United are prob abit weaker than the Mosgiel side but in cup football anything can happen. Roslyn to win comfortably due to students being out of town etc. This is pretty much a gift into the next (national) round for Roslyn, but they won't advance after that.

Nice avatar football talk, the southern league is worse off without the quality of sean brand. Yeah it is a dream draw for roslyn, who knows there will be a few average sides in the fourth round anythiing can happen.

can't believe James "Gorgeous" Watson never gets a mention on here, ok he should be the captain of Grants Braes but Gorgeous is a pretty decent footballer ae

Blair duncan rode the rimu for cavy for years, played the last 5 minutes of games and was ultimately minging

I dunno horse head, I think many of the teams would be keen on a home fixture with roslyn as their desired game if they get through this round.

Its a shame but their table position and the average team age (despite evans knocking it up alot) arent going to make too many teams nervous
