Watched a few of the games over the weekend and realise there were a few roslyn boys missing, but i reckon they'll struggle this season. Cavy & Tech to battle it out for top spot for sure, i actually doubt any roslyn players would be good enough to start for both these teams unless they're better than Rhys Henderson in goal

haha im a few a few roslyn boys would be better in goal than henderson hes only 5'8 for a start. Is he staying at cavy? im sure he would be welcome at roslyn if he wished 
Your are right there Horse was a strange move but i don't think they had many other options,I doubt it very much that he would leave Caversham to play a hack style of football at Roslyn but if he's not playing he has nmo other option except sit on the bench and hope either the gifted Horner or Smith get injured but no1 would wish that upon there team mates

the deli lama2009-03-18 14:53:05I would have thought that when you sign a new coach or coaches , you would want them to bring other players with them to improve the sqaud , doesnt look as if Northern have done this , there were no players if any in there game at the weekend which were any better than the top three clubs fletcher cup sides ?? , I wouldnt call Jezereel Jones a player for the future .

Likely starting team I am just going with the team that started the South Island final last year minus Little and Wheeler

Looks to me like a solid platform to base you team on. Not sure of squad depth and number�s tho.

Any idea on a possible Cavy starting line up? Smith, Henderson & Tim "White Lightning" Horner are all very decent players but also quite short for centre backs so McKinley could be a good acquisition?
Both arnt big guy but i watched the game against Waitakeri and they did ok so im sure they will manage in the SPL!Alought Mckinley may go well he just isn't going to leave Varsity

There is a very good reason Mckenzie or Mrs Soccer isn't playing for team welly in the playoff race. apparently he is in a pay dispute with the team, at the start of the season he was promised 500 dollars a game and team welly have only payed him half of what is owed to him. you could describe the suituation as a player strike. and yes Ross "mcdaddy" Mckenzie is toooooo big for the Spl

I wouldn't think he is worth $500 a season? From what i heard about there game on saturday Ross "Mcdaddy" Mckenzie was worth a knob of goat sh*t only good for abit of abuse towards the ref and his team mates,But with Alistair"The bulldozer"Rickerby now at tech Rosco will be looking pritty red faced from the bench

That was techs new fletcher cup keeper, Callum was unable to train this week due to work commitments and will be between the sticks this coming saturday
I think callum has to much respect for GI to leave

Apparently , Greg Draper has signed for Caversham
