Breaking News!

Southern United have announced its first signing of the upcoming season.

Name: Nathan Woodhead

This colossus centre back leaves attackers shaking in their boots. At 6ft 6 he's not to be messed with, excellent in the air. Hoping for a good campaign from the Taranaki born defender.

More signings to come.

Interested players from abroad are kindly requested to please check the time difference between New Zealand and the country they telephone from before making telephone calls to Southern United FC in New Zealand, please. Thank you.

(Over the weekend and early this morning the Administrator received calls between midnight and 03:00 in the morning - That is not acceptable, please).

Where has The Bookie got to? Would like some odds on the Title Race and Golden Boot. Also, what are GI paying to go down?

Another win for The Train, Tech have another catch up game to tag onto the end of the season, Queenstown turn up and the Student gear up for Re-O-Week in style.

Picks for this weekend:

Green Island-Mosgiel 1-5

University-Roslyn 3-2

Tech-Qtown 4-0

Cavvy-Northern 5-0

He scores when he wants..

His cross was driven into the edge of the penalty area, and met with perfect timing by Sam Collier, who laced his first-time shot into the top right-hand corner for the goal of the game

Good keep but how many saves has he had to make on the way to winning 7-0 every second game?

He's got a touch so would be wasted there. Would look good in blue and gold over summer.

Hes not your typical cavy player I must say, will prob develop a bit more mongrel.  Will he want to stay in dunedin to fight over a wooden spoon? Not sure

I am sure he is regretting his decision now. Perhaps not. Not sure what the story is up in Wakari to be honest. I know they lost some players but damage was done when they were at full strength. Think it's a case of losing made easy.

a lot of rhetoric there kennedy and not a lot of sense

Players have become use to losing Horse - they make it look easy; Roslyn just seem good at it. Some of these guys lose all year round with Southern United filling in the summer.

some fair chat. Winning is a habit, caversham didnt win 8 championships ( may have been more or less dont quote me) in a row because they had the best team in the league every year ( although close to it most years), they always had a winning belief and attitude. Always hated losing to them, but had to admire how good they were at winning. If that makes sense.
