Is this some kind of sick joke? Is Tracey out for Colins ? or something?

Well done to Batty and Attwood.

After years of thinking nothing as ridiculous as a coaching award being given for getting fourth (2005 I think), it has happened and I am surprised that I am surprised. I really should know better. Congratulations to Football South for making a mockery of the whole set up.

Like yourself, i'm at a loss with the decision, i can't believe Murray Devereux didn't get the gong for keeping Northern above the relegation zone

Real drama. I heard Craig Ferguson was spotted leaving Macs Bar with Tracey and then seen in the taxi line. We all make mistakes Fergy, some a lot bigger than others.

Apparently even Brookside was disappointed he didn't get the award when he heard who did.

southern have assembled a decent squad.  fitzpatrick and joy should be hard to get past.  kudos also for the fact that they all have local club connections.

any details on the lineups?

Southern United have just completed the signing of Karl Scoullar on a one year contract for the remaining of the season. Brother of former All White Blair, Karl brings a complete new persona to the fold adding confidence and even arrogance. These traits are what the lads need to really kick on this season. All the best to Karl (who will be wearing the armband) and Southern tomorrow in the South Island Derby.

"GOLD COIN DONATION REQUESTED ON ENTRY TO FORSYTH BARR STADIUM" - Footballsouth Page!  I believe Ive got the call right, in that being it took two games in which for them to contradict themselves. Best of luck to the boys though.

Southern United the only team in the ASB Premiership that has an away trip for a home game.

Not only that it takes longer for the home team to get from home to the game than the visiting team take.

Well not quite. On both points.

A. WaiBOP United play home games in Tauranga.

B. Welly to Invercargill goes via CHCH taking min 3 hrs.

Drive time from Hamilton to Tauranga is an hour so yes a slight trip to another venue but not the nearly four hours the SU boys will have on Sunday.

Welly to Invercargill takes just on 2hours depending on wind direction for a  direct flight, so still quicker than a road trip.
