Obviously easy manipulated. No prizes in guessing who had used their position to exploit. I'd be worried if I were I Wal. Odds on him being at the helm start of next season?

Think Roslyn with new signing Molloy could really challenge for the title

And in fairness it's certainly not implausible and better than most of the sharke yarns on this thread.

"CAW CAWWW" - Peeves the Pterodactyl predicts:

- a grueling battle between Southland and Caversham in a dimly lit Friday afternoon dance on the rubber. Cavvy squeak home. (1-2 Train)

- Varsity should be too fast down the final straight for Houghton's resilient Northern side at the BMX track (2-1 Students)

- A revitalised Mosgiel outfit should be too hot to handle out on the plains, even for the Terrance Boylan SU academy (3-1 Plainsmen)

- And last but by no means least, favorites Queenstown Rovers will dismantle Technical and blustery conditions on the dunes  (4-0 Rovers)

- GI still filthy about the no pen decision, hard luck and enjoy the weekend off fellas!

Ambition.

Also looks like some of the Timaru teams have chosen not to enter this year.

Voting for players' of the year within each team - would be good to get a decent number of votes in the SU one..

There are plenty of great games in store down in Football South. The contest between Grants Braes and Caversham shapes as an even contest.  Caversham are second in the Football South Premier League and Braes are third in Division One.

Above an extract from the NZF web site. Who is the writer of this dribble?

Can't be anyone that has an idea about football south of the Bridge.

Drivel. Not dribble. I concur though, clearly someone who was asked to write something about this area as a publicity piece and they have failed miserably. Cavy will clearly be no match for Braes.

The person who is responsible for registrations - A former Football South staff member - missed the deadline for entry to the competition. Shame, thought they would have had a good run this year due to early form

Green Island the real deal? Are they going to continue and win everything? Or is it a little early for them this season. I haven't seen them play this season but results suggest if not this season, really good chance next season. Wonder how big of an influence me old mate Kev Scoullar is having out there.

not likely to win as Cavvy still be far the best team. League is very weak though, worst for a long time.

This weekend you will get to see how they do go against cavvy. Some very interesting results this season, would not have thought that tech would be winless in the league so far. The big question is, will Northern gain a point this year?

I hate baseless rubbish like this, "worst for a long time", you sound like Abe Simpson.

Particularly having decent Queenstown & Southland teams in the comp this year is a big step up from last year.

Green Island have found a balance of having a couple of experienced & classy operators joining the talented youngsters they seem to produce (most of whom have 1 or 2 years experience at this level now). And Brazier has been an absolute beast, just bossing it.

Hard to see them not getting bullied by Cavy (because that's precisely what they did, in every sense of the word, last week against a decent Roslyn team by all accounts).

Didn't they take the Coastal Spirit money on offer to Southern United players?
