How so? Lucky to not conceded?

Just had one cleared off the line after clattering the crossbar, only one chance either way.

scrappy, back and forth clash at Tonga, with both sides only really mustering one good chance each. Cavy showed why they're defending champs with a clinical finish, mosgiel showing their intent to challenge for the title and they were unlucky to get nothing from the game.  A draw would've been a fair reflection of the clash

Cavy happy to kick it long and let mosgiel head back into the middle of the park and clean it up and counter was very interesting to watch! Thought mosgiel deserved a point out of the game but with out a striker i could see them struggling to score unless brooks and rodeka can hit double figures as i dont see young neil being able to and coldicott is a lottery but i hope mosgiel push cavy right to the end this year!

Big game this weekend for Mosgiel after dropping points early

Mosgiel looked strong in game unlucky to not get a point, they will beat Tech. Any chance of Roslyn doing anything against Cavy?

Will Roslyn Line up like this

            Stevens

??? Barringer Pinfold Hullemin

               Connor

        OFarrell     Day

Sannum                     Kiore

                 Govan

If so I think they could get a result! Unsure who the right back is?? Other than that they could push all teams!!!

Roslyn 1 Cavy 2 (Nice blend this year for Roslyn but I think they will succumb to experience and a late winner)

Mosgiel 1 Tech 3 (Over confidence from the home side - grudge match, there will be at least one red in this game)

GI 1 Uni 4 (Tough old season this one for GI against a team with a good coach)

Mosgiel will be too good for tech 2-0

Caversham 4-0 Roslyn

GI 1 University 1

4-0 of Roslyn? Bit harsh! I think they will get a result against them this week brookside.

2-1 Moagiel to beat Roslyn. Techs backline looks average after I watched them play GI. Can't concede against the youngsters

I think Mosgiel will go scoreless for the second weekend in a row. No Hayley, Cody injured, Regan still not scoring goals. Will be a tough game.

I think we will dominate Roslyn , and a few cracker goals to boot , as for Mos v Tech I would expect that Tech will be all over this , from what I've seen I cant see Mosgiel scoring either , just don't seem to have any punch , expect Liam to get a few big hits from the tech lads

Us to scrape in 2-1

Mosgiel to finally hit stride 4-0

Gi Uni 4-4

Permalink Permalink

Mosgiel win 3 -1

Cavy win 4-1

Uni win 3-2

Shall be an interesting round, hope an upset is on the cards somewhere

ZG will want a big game and a Tech win to cement his spot as the Tech number 1.

Batty will have to keep warming up the coach seats.

Roslyn to win 1-0 this week I think they got what it takes to get a result,

Mosgiel will be too strong for tech and beat them by 2 or 3

Gi varsity will be interesting can see the experience of the students taking it out but would expect GI to put up a good fight and possible steel the points

I think Tech lost to Mosgiel 5-3 like 10 years ago...not often Tech get stuffed by 4.

I guess that's what you get for leaving Mosgiel

Got it. I wouldn't say he was given much choice in all fairness ? Could be a bit of humility out on the plans this year, very quiet.

Well they are a nice side and if they don't get cocky and don't start gobbing off they have a chance of finishing 2nd.

They are probably a chance of getting first to be fair

Gonna take a lot to stop this new young train - but yeah, a slim chance I agree.

Tech will be ok. Few players to come in and the best coach in the league. Write them off at your peril.

Anyone got an opinion on how the game would of gone 11 v 11? I didn't think  Mosgiel would be 4 goals better than Tech? Thought the result could of gone either way.

Yeah but Rab's report reckons it was 2-0 before Abbo was sent...on balance Tech played better with 10 men.

Dunedin Tech... what a godforsaken joke of a club. It was men against boys vs the mighty plainsmen!! I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror after such an embarrassing loss of that magnitude. Cody Brook and Rahan ran those boys ragged. Francini ya beauuutey wahahaha!! Watch Tech lose 5-0 in their next game. Embarrassing.

Cody not come off injured? If they can keep their injuries to a minimum then they will have a good chance come August

Mosgiel and Roslyn will finish 1st and 2nd this year, respectively. Can see Cavy crumbling under the pressure and finishing 3rd (that's where the cookie crumbles ;) Uni 4th, Tec 5th, Northern 6th and then the green island relegation party, YEEEEEHAAAAW!!
