I'm inclined to agree. No point the better underage players playing effectively meaningless games in Invercargill and Hamilton.

Considering we were bottom of the heap (bar Braes) i think it's done enough to make people take us a bit more seriously on the pitch

Bar Braes?

They did the double on G.I, and finished on more points!

I think he means give the youth team two overage players to help their chances of topping the group?

Didn't even know there were overage players. In which case, definitely. Victor and Reg would be handy acquistions in Youth League

Yeah, there are two players allowed in the squad at any match.

Hell, Scott Gannon assisted McCormack for our 1-0 win over Wellington, and neither of the are the right age!

well done youth team! maybe ou should lend joel back and have another senior player play for them as they have a chance of making the final! my choice would be victor!

Why bother lets see if they can make it on their own, they deserve to.

Agreed! When Ridden played for them against Wellington he provided f**k all, someone with a bit of flair such as Gannon was tidy for the youth (first half) but gives that extra something. Keep it as it is, why change something for a few (average) players from the men.

Also they were without captain Geordie Mansford who started in invercargill which is a bloody good effort.

Caught a glimpse of G.I training last week and the boys are training really well. Can't think of any team that will be able to match them this season. The cavvy train is coming off it's tracks, No Joy no Tech? more like No Burgy No tech and Roslyn will be too busy rating themselves to realise the season has kicked off. Onward and upward for us boys and theres nothing you lot can do about it!

Even old Billy has been hearing words of Green Island as far away as the desert itself. With the likes of Tech and Cavy being weakened severly, could it be a classic baber shop brawl between Roslyn and Green Island?

Back on the horse it is.

This will Roslyn's best chance for a while, if they can't win it this season, they'll never win it, if Green Island can get off to a good start, they might surprise, Tech & Cavvy will be rebuilding, so 3-4 for them, Mosgiel will need to get some confidence after a very poor 2012, Queenstown, Uni mid table, Braes, Old Boys & Northern to battle it out for wooden spoon.

I'm unsure on alot of the guys names who are out there, just alot of energy and desire it seemed which is a change from a couple of seasons back. As for your suggestion of myself being young Jack Kirkwood.....

Just caught a glimpse of this on the first page,Thoughts on how the current side would go against a team that had guys like Horner,Burg,Scoullar,Coburn and Falvey at the peak of their powers? For me shows how poor the league/Otago are getting

Colin Falvey - Mosgiel (previously Ireland)
Tim Horner - Caversham
Blair Scoullar - Dunedin Tech
Rhys Henderson - Caversham
Michael Smith - Caversham
Tristan Prattley - Dunedin Tech
Andy Coburn - Dunedin Tech
Seamus Ryder - Caversham
Morgan Day - Mosgiel
Regan Coldicott - Mosgiel
Robbie Deeley - Caversham
Barry Gardiner - Southland Spirit
Aaron Burgess -  Dunedin Tech
Sean Brand - Roslyn Wakari
Dave Dugdale - Caversham
Tom Jackson - Caversham
Tom Conner - Roslyn Wakari
Al Rickerby - Mosgiel

Just saw a post on the ASB Premiership page about OU getting the record of the only team to lose every home game in one season ! Craziness.

Get this G.I chat off the page, until the season actually starts anyway. J. Wright im talking to you bud, and green onion (j.wright again) , shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I hear young jack Kirkwood is going to be playing in blue and white this season back to his roots due to the fact that him and Malcolm don't see eye to eye...Possibly dragging others with him. Young jack and Young McGarry will be an unstoppable duo that will surely tear any defence to shreads.

Although it does not matter who leaves gi is just popular demand this season and I can guarantee we lift the title behind Jessie wright as captain, he will lead the green machines to victory!!!
