Northern was nothing today...and yet for parts they outplayed gi.

Green Island looks quite average this season, they talk the talk but can't walk the walk.

Had plenty of chances just couldn't hit the net, wouldn't have been surprised if it was 7 or 8 nil.

GI didn't have that many chances, Northern missed two sitters but were poor for most of the game

Northern we're pants today and as for GI they over played the ball, they are the Barca of Dunners football.

Northern looked too slow at the back, striker was too slow and had know idea how to use his size and head the ball. Midfield was over worked by chasing the ball and keeper was too worried about moaning to the ref about nothing ( although he made 1 great point blank save) Big problems for the gardens club

GI looked good passing the ball round and had ample of space, (cos northern sat far too deep) but lacked any real threat in attack. Why was Joel not playing today.

Over all not pretty to watch 3 out of 10 today

What clear chances did G.I miss?
I can think of Tays back post swipe, and thats about it.
Maybe the one when everybody stopped for offside

The near post effort which the keeper saved from Taylors cross, Craig turned his defender and put his shot wide when he was 1 on 1.

could've should've blah blah blah could've, should've been 2-2  GI had F#@k all clear chances

The boys didn't have many clear cut chances, Taylors goal was the only clear chance they made. The other goal was from a good cross, there were about 4 crosses Tmc put across the face of the goal that could have resulted in a few more though.

Regardless of all this G.I hate, the boys looked nice out there, they are playing a new brand of footy, they had about 75% possession ,more in parts, they will be even more dominant when Joel comes back as his pace down that right side will work so well with Taylors on the left. I thought Cam was awesome at the back, Dungey was solid, but some of those runs and feints he does still scare me.

Im excited for this season, I AM ON THE BANDWAGON!!

Could have been 6-0, could have been 2-2, but it wasnt.. It was 2-0, thats footy !

Otago Rooster you have no fucking clue about football!! Any team would love to be called the barca of dunedin football!! Green Island were looking like a huge threat going forward, Taylor was working his ass off all day!! Plenty of times did he tap it past the defender and run onto it, plenty of times did he square the ball across the 6 yard box for someone to latch onto. I thought GI looked good going forward, that was the most exciting thing all game for me. 2-0 this 2-0 that either way its still 3 points.

Tim Dunn. The only man that could improve the train. Him and maybe that big goober northern had up front. Both with touches of class whenever the ball strikes their shinpad

It was a kick around with a few lads, who gives a toss when no trophy to play for.

Wiat for next Saturday then the BS can stop and the real players or pretenders for the SPL can front.

Maybe I was a bit rough, but I definatly thought GI were miles better and created chances left right and centre. Northern did have theres but didnt put them away. 2-0 is a decent start to the season I think, doesnt matter if it was northern or roslyn, 3 points is 3 points. Opinion vs opinion.

Just like two kids kicking a ball in the jigger is a match. Yeah right.
