So far ive seen 2 games and cant say anyone impressed...

Will watch the Virginal Whites play Grumpy Old Mens Club this weekend. Hopefully the pretenders can at least take a point and make it a three/four way comp.
Cavvy held nil all at half time last week and started hitting long balls.. Could be an open league.. Its a good comp this year!

GI are not in any position to comment on other teams, they have played one game against an average Noerthern team

They are weaker than they where last year and over the next 2 weeks probably wont even pick up any more points

will be a piss trip on the way home but it will be to drown their sorrows

Just caught the highlights of the Auckland City U17 tournament on Sky. Great to see the Tech side do so well.

Pains me to say it but Jesse 'Green Onion' Wright is the best player in this competition by a decent distance. Even greater than my beloved Seamus 'almost as good at football as he is good looking' Ryder

Soccerates mate, you have changed your post 3 times. Slow down bud. Yes there is TOO much shit on this forum nowadays but that's due to the maturity of kids such as Cody Brook and Tyrell Barringer being trolls on the thread, making an account, getting found out by others, then the same process. RINSE AND REPEAT.

Few upsets this weekend I think.

I see people are predicting a big RWAFC win this weekend. I think we need to remember Tech have finished above Roslyn in the table for many years, and this hasnt come by accident. It is also Dunedin Techs home game and arguably 2 of Roslyns best players Aajay Cunningham and James Govan are struggling with injury.

Having said that, the Roslyn team looked sharp in patches against Mosgiel and have been training well. The team looks to have a different feel this season, so Saturday should be a good contest and provide a real benchmark of how both sides are travelling early in the season.

Other games: Cavvy to beat Northern, Mosgiel Varsity draw, Green Island to beat Qtown, Old Boys to beat Braes.

Dont forget Roslyn's 125th Anniversary is coming up in the first weekend of June, the weekend of the local Roslyn vs Northern derby at Ellis Park....cheers, Rab

Varsity perennially fuck themselves come june. exams/holidays/imports go home. the squad always looks good at the start of the season, but they inevitably wind up mid table

From what I hear young Tyrell has been a good positive addition to the Roslyn group, and would have had a run last week if it were not for suspension.

Shame about James Govan, he was prodigious in 2012, as was wee Aajay

Latest rumours are that Roslyn choppers Dr Liam Dunbar and Anthony Charlton are going to be heading down for Anniversary weekend

If nothing else, their presence should significantly increase the female attendance numbers.

Old Men - Braes 1-2

Scum - Students 2-4
