No Howard either. Officially 2 players from Tech and nil from Cavy. The 2 top teams by far and away in the FPL (a defence that conceded 32 goals in 36 games between them) and SU can not even fit Jude or Ross into the mix? Hopefully whoever is at the back hasn't been involved in the car wreck that is the rest of the leagues defence. 

That leaves overmire , joy , Higgins and attwood to chose from. 

I was feeling like a bit of a laugh and came on here to get one  - there's usually some funny shit goes down.  And boy am I laughing now.  No Fitz?  I saw him in a trial game the other week and he destroyed everything that moved and was a complete animal on attack at set piece time as well.  Luis has gone down considerably in my estimates - he's lost his brain  And young Howard is a fantastic talent too. I'm very angry he doesn't get a chance to see if he can step up.  Is there a fitter and faster player than him?  Well apart from Fitz that is - I forgot to mention that.  Both those lads train like pros.  I hope they both kick on and play at a higher level in spite of this bs.  Both lads are terrific talents and I feel so sorry for them.

wake up Luis, this is not the premier league, it is the national league, i agree Doogal  fitz and howard should be in the mix, whats with the inclusion of 5 uni players, most of the uni team wouldn't have made the starting line up of either tech or cavy....i'm one confused supporter.

Amazing decision from Coach Luiz not to include Jude Fitzpatrick and Ross Howard from the squad they would have added a talent pool to select from. Ross Howard is a much better right back than David Hayman who I was informed started over him at Dunedin Technical this season and Jude Fitzpatrick is the obvious second choice center back...Luiz has a plan in saying this and we must stick by him IMHO

Also interesting that it has been several weeks since the Football South prizegiving yet nothing to be seen regarding winners and who received the prizes on the Football South website. Maybe I have missed it. Looking foward to S.U v Canterbury in a few weeks as a pre-season jaunt. Is that game confirmed? Anyone know?

Actually saw it on Rab Smiths website a while back but the point is that it was a Football South awards function that should have been easily celebrated on its own website. The fact you have to hunt for isn't ideal. Great that the game versus Canterbury is on and your points about selection are fair and valid. People that know football down here are well aware of that. I tried to call Aajay to get his opinion on your questions but unfortunatley he's once again fallen victim to one of his famed sunday sessions and was harder to understand then Craig Ferguson after a couple of whiskeys and a few $500 spins on red

So the Squad list has been sent to Auckland (had to be on Friday) & the players have their contracts but not all of them have signed. What happens if some decide to pull out of the squad? the only option is to promote youth players as they wouldn't be able to sign anyone till halfway through the season... 

Why is Attwood & Ridden included in the senior squad, when they're both young enough to play youth league? surely you would sign up older players but still have the ability to use Attwood & Ridden? hmmmm Howard & Fitzpatrick would've been good signings perhaps
