Cashmere won 6-0, could be long season for FC.

DCR looked impressive in comfortable win over Nomads, also saw a bit of the Chch United game, Green Island more competitive than expected, kept scoreline down well. Gonna be an interesting season alright.

Just an FYI, Coastal striker is Cooper Goldsmith so as you’ve used surnames for everyone else you can update that bit too 😊

Thanks for this. Would love to know the formula you run to get these stats, amount of minutes played by U20 divided by total minutes played multiplied by 100 I assume? And you take into account injury times of both halves and all the subs? Sounds complicated.

Apparently NZF base it off of 90 minutes only. If you get an additional 10 minutes in the second half they are seen as void.
I have horrible opinions

Strange if any 'added time minutes' are void (cannot see anything in regs in regard to this) as 'yellows' and 'reds' certainly count in added time.

The basic standard in football statistics worldwide is to only count 90 minutes and no stoppage time when counting minutes.

Two pretty expected results today. Cashmere get back to the top with a 4-1 win in Nelson, and Christchurch United thrashed Coastal 4-0.

Watched the highlights on the Bays v Nomads today. With Boys and Murphy having a combined age of 78, have we ever seen an older left side combination in a ‘top’ division? Also what’s with J. Deehan getting given a piece of paper from the sidelines midway through the game..the word desperation comes to mind. But well done on the win

Anyone surprised to see FC already bottom of the league? Can’t see them ever being more than 1 spot higher than that at any point this season

Got to improve soon. Coastal, Nelson, Nomads, Selwyn, GI all likely to be picking points up off each other. This weekends clash vs Selwyn will be telling.

Good read, enjoying these.

Just a couple of notes - Muir was signed from Northern, not Roslyn, and the first goal was from Connor Neil, not Muir.
