Ferrymead remind me of Everton. A historic club who are now rubbish and would be better off relegated.

Ferrymead Bays have only been around since 1990, so hardly historic.

That's an odd draw isn't it? All 3 Chch games on a Friday night and then nothing else?

It's so all their players are free to travel down to Dunedin on Saturday for the greatest local derby in the league 😉

AFAIK home teams are able to arrange fixtures at time that suits themselves with minimal intervention from NZF or the local federation (other than a need to consider travel logistics for away team).   There isn't any oversight to make sure that kick off times don't overlap like there would be if live TV coverage was a consideration

A great milestone this weekend when Chris Murphy plays his 400th 1st team game for Ferrymead Bays against Nomads in the Chatham Cup, a brilliant effort indeed with 'Murph' a true club man at Bays - former 1st team captain, club captain, served on the committee and junior / youth coach at Bays (and now Otakaro), also run out for Canterbury United and Assistant Coach with the Dragon's Youth team.

Stand up and take a well-deserved bow, Murph.
