Ref was sh*te, one or two offside goals, Vakatalesau had a penalty
in the first half and Birch should have been sent off for a
headbutt, and there was some rubbish call where one of the TW
strikers was hardly touched by the last man, free kick given, and,
correct me if I'm wrong, isn't that supposed to be a red?
(Stolenkamp's always been a sh*te ref though).

I'll be the one to correct you. Last man is not a red, despite
it being a popular misconception. Denying an obvious goalscoring
opportunity is a red. In the incident itself, I was looking down at
the programme and missed most of it. It did seem like he was
through on goal with an obvious scoring chance though, so once the
foul was given I thought it was going to be red - but like I say, I
missed most of it.

Consensus in the area I was in was that Birch got headbutted
by the YHM player, rather than the other way round. It just looked
like the two going at each other to me.

Tell you what though, I though that Vakatalesau had won that
penalty that wasn't given.

Still, eight goals - you can't argue that the handful of
dubious calls changed the outcome!
Haha cheers. As soon as he went down I thought it was a red, and I
have to say it would have been an "obvious goalscoring
opportunity".
Even I don't think I can possibly blame the ref for this one.
Youngheart were totally outclassed. That said, if we had gone into
the half 2-1 down or 1-1, it may have been a totally different
second half. Who knows.
And, to be honest, I missed most of the Birch incident, heard of "a
headbutt" from the Green Frenzy people, and one Welly fan even
admitted he saw a headbutt. As far as I know, headbutting and that
kind of stuff normally gets you a red, or AT LEAST a yellow (again,
correct me if I'm wrong)
