Ramming liberal dribble down your throat since 2009
This forum needs less angst and more Kate Bush threads

lol, thankfully the game improved too
Only watched the last 20 min or so. Thought the coverage was pretty good quality. The Nix did well when pressing, won the ball back a few times but the Auckland defence was up to the challenge. The Nix keeper spilled the ball three times when I was watching, could well have cost them more goals. Howieson controlled the midfield.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet
Who is scoring goals for the reserve team these days?
Not really one clear goalscorer so far. From my stats Luke Supyk has 3 from 6 games. Daniel Makowem, Nathan Walker and Ryan Watson all have 2 each
Luke Supyk is their top scorer this season with 4. Only others to have more than 1 are Makowem, Walker and Watson (all 2).

They put out a pretty strong line up so a little disappointing? Goals came late (80th & 89th mins)
Has Walker signed a youth contract or anything yet?
Good sign if a strong WeeNIX side like this gets beaten. Suggests decent talent around the place.

Apart from Ball it's still mostly a team of kids, and honestly very few of them (at this stage in their careers!!) would be a standout in other sides, being given senior/scholarship deals doesn't change that fact.
It's not particularly noteworthy that Suburbs beat them.

Checked out the WeeNix match against Island Bay. Strong performance and a 5-1 win.
Controlled much of the first half with Daniel Makowem scoring a beautiful strike, then ran up a score in the second half as they were great on the counter, you could tell the fitness difference between them and IBU. IBU got a late consolation goal to spoil the clean sheet, but it was probably deserved.
Loke, Gardiner and the young keeper acquitted themselves well I thought, whole front line was good and Ryan Watson played well. The goals in the second half were all quite similar - broke through the offside trap on the flanks, then squared centrally for the oncoming runner to tuck it away. Not the most beautiful but it was bloody efficient.

Are fifa+ only screening Petone, Napier and Olympic games?
I have horrible opinions

WeeNix were on FIFA+ last weekend v Upper Hutt. Vaguely recall North Wellington v IBU was streamed too, but I didn't watch that one.
The regional stuff, as frustrating as it is, is always shared around.
they looked good today, especially with a few down from the A League team. must have been an unusual experience for those guys to win for a change
