We are a third of the way through the season. We pretty much know
who will be the playoff teams (unless one of them has a complete
meltdown). Who do you think will win the league and then who do you
think will win the Grand final.
My pick: Waitakere to win the League
Auckland City to win the Final

Auckland City, Ytak and Team Wellers to be top three. Bay, Waikato
and Youngheart to fight for 4th with the Southern sides going for
the spoon.
Like Marama, I'll go for ACFC to win the final.

Yeah it's just too obvious. Ak City to win both.

Auckland, A Town Called Malice.

Away From The Numbers, I think Canty and Otago are going for a Beat
Surrender.

You all have impeccable taste.

The sounds from the street will be joyous and all will be happy in
the city when Auckland City take the title. The rest will be shown
to be absolute beginners but the bitterest pill of all will be
swallowed by Waitakere who will return to their wasteland.

Seeing as the Champion comes from the play offs and the top three
are almost guaranteed it will come down to new signings in the
transfer window.
If there are no additions I would plumb for Waitakere to win as they have the most balanced squad so an injury or two won't affect the m as much as Auck or Wgtn.
Auckland are fast running out of strikers. Fa'rodo has gone back to Aussie, Anello has gone back to Argentina and Urlo is currently injured leaving them with just Young. He too has hd knee problems this year.
The conjecture around the place is Wellington will be graced with an influx of Phoenix players. Afterall the transfer window was moved back to fit the time frame when the Phoenix finished playing and the players will have had their 30 day stand down allowing them to regain their "amatuer" status.
So until the transfer window has closed I wouldn't make a call as it could be any of the three.

TW stacked with Phoenix players, awesome!!
Queenslander 3x a year.

Phoenix players in TW ? Won't happen. The only way would be if
they were released from their contracts by the Nix and free to sign
for another team. As it is Spoons and Drapes are probably going to
have to go to the Melbourne Knights to get game time as they can't
sign for an OFC Club (NZ Football Ruling as far as I know).
Its a joke that our top U20 players can't even play in this
country. I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist but if the Nix
equivilent was still based in Auckland would this ruling
apply? Has pressure been put on by a couple of Northern
Franchise Chairman? Plus the Nix could be training again end of
Feb, beginning of March if the O-League/World club play-off
happens in April-May.

Auckland City, no ifs buts or maybes.
Three for me, and two for them.

The league will finish AC, Ytak then Welly. But Welly will win the
playoffs. Cole Tinkler will be awesome for them toward the end of
the season and so will churchy

After the weekend - I think Waitak might actually win it all. As
much as I hate to say it they just might.

Its not such a silly thought. Waitakere have the Totori
factor.

Waitakere to win it.
can't really believe the difference betwen the side I saw lose
to Team wellington a few months back and the team that beat
Auckland City last weekend. The mental block is now gone and they
seem to have a much stronger squad and (perhaps) better
coached.

From what I heard they changed a lot of things after the first two
games. Milicich took total control of all the coaching and
basically sidelined all the assistant coaches. they are playing the
way he wants and he isn't letting anything go. It was either his
way or the highway. Some friction has occurred but they seem to be
getting things a lot right.
