You Raise Me Up has been used at both Summer and Winter Olympic Games (was NBC’s theme song for all 2004 Olympic promotions); World Championships; Special Olympics; Commonwealth Games, and performed live by Josh Groban at Superbowl 2004, in a NASA tribute to the crew of the Space Shuttle, Columbia.
You Raise Me Up (Celtic Woman) was skated to by 2006 Olympic Gold Medallist, Shizuka Arakawa as her Gold Medal Exhibition piece in Turin; In the 2006 Ice Wars, Arakawa’s performance to it scored a complete set of perfect tens, securing victory for the Rest of The World team over America.
