Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Me and my friend Bill take my parents to the Phoenix. Parents are both in the eighties. Tonight my mother confounded me.... When I called to explain arrangements for tomorrow night she answered the phone NOT with a hello or similar BUT with... "We're here to see the Phoenix. We're here to see the Phoenix".

(Before you ask. I have no idea where she picked it up from!)

Maybe they're on the boards? A few of us have been suggesting it, but perhaps our word of mouth got to them. Or they came up with it by themselves, which is also likely. Either way, great to hear, hopefully they won't be the only ones chanting it on Saturday!
