Hi All,
I was rather disturbed tonight at the cricket as I watched half a dozen assholes steal phoenix chants and abuse the canterbury boys. Although my blood run's red and black if they had done it to any of the other teams I would have still been fumming!

- Get original chants, don't steal what's been designed to be bellowed from the cake tin
- Leave the chanting at the cake tin. Cricket is there to be enjoyed, lots of family's and what not. I saw plenty of other phoenix fans around and they were sitting back having a great time, apart from you.
- New Zealand still want's Bond. Just because he has joined the rebel league doesn't mean he isn't a kiwi and hasn't done heaps for the game. I mean sh*t guys, he took a hatric against Aussie, thats worthy of a bloody knighting these days.

Our Chants??? I am sure I have heard a few of the chants we
use (sung with improvised English accents) being used in Premier
League grounds.
Look on the bright side, Brumbys.
During the cricket season they learn the words and the other
cricket followers get hooked in until the Firebirds have their own
band of followers. Then when the cricket has finished and the
A League starts in August, they will all come along and carry
on singing. With us.

Nice rant Brumbys but to be fair we don't OWN any of the
chants. We've nicked almost all of them off others.

I dont mind a bit of atmosphere at cricket, it used to be
great until security started kicking anyone out for either being
too loud or having any sort of fun. They expect everyone to sit up
straight, arms and legs crossed, staring intently at the cricket
for 8 hours.

Sorry, by enjoyed I meant a relaxing atmosphere, chilling out in
the sun and leaving the working week behind! At the nix games its
great being able to scream the stress of work out in the direction
of the opposing teams!!!!!

i think you'll find those people were phoenix/football players... this was at the 20/20 right. yea there all members of fever mate. personally i enjoyed them a watching them get taken away from security was pretty damn funny - all they did was abuse bond lol. cricket is a different crowd because their were familys around and that but thats what the banks all about a, the bank is the scene of alot of banter well before yellow fever arrived.
