Sorry if it's shark, I'm not good at coming up with chants, this just suddenly popped into my head.

I made up a crass one for Nikola Mileusnic on night shift at work the other week after scrolling through Instagram reels of football chants.

Needless to say I dont think it will fly though, so I'll keep it to myself for now. 😅

Just go with what feels right mate. I just hum songs and tunes and throw words about and see what's catchy - Usually with a few digs or barbs thrown in for good measure too. 😆

Ohhh Ishige is magic, he wears a magic hat,
He could have stayed in Osaka but he said "No fudge that",
He passes to the left side, he passes to the right,
And when he scores a Phoenix goal we'll sing this song all night.

To the Hey Jude outro:
Naaa na na, Nagasawa, Nagasawa, Kazu
Naaa na na, Nagasawa, Nagasawa Kazu

A tune well known to us in the Zone. I "messenger" searched and there was 5 guys there for starters, more if you did an in depth search. Should we invite him to a Nix game?

I don't know how many people are familiar with the Wellington band Dartz, but I think this one has potential.

From 2:30 or so: https://youtu.be/83vJb2uQD9c?si=77scLikRDlqnbW-O

"You can't beat Wellington on a good daaay,
Can't beat us, no you can't beat us" on repeat.

Can be sung when not losing if it's sunny, or if we're losing and it's raining.

I just watched that clip, thanks heaps. There's just something special about band like this. Their effort and passion they put into their songs. You gotta respect it and you might love it. Good luck to them. Think as a chant, that would work really well.

The Datsun Violets did something similar and the tone they sing it in would easily work in the Stadium. "You can't Wellington on a Good day, even a bad day too...."

I'm familiar, but I think the Dartz one is better for the Fever. Given you can already see a crowd chanting it, you know it'll work.

The Datsun Violets just aren't quite as chantable imo.

Dartz also won NZ rock artist of the year at the VMAs this year and have been nominated for a Taite - so they're getting much better known, and both albums are genuinely good, with plenty of tongue in cheek references to NZ culture. Well worth checking out!

I thought the Flintstones theme works for:
Carlo Armiento,
He's gonna help us win the league
Out there on the left wing,
come on and score a goal or three

Great effort, can visualize it. I do wonder if any of the fans born after 2000 would know who the Flintstones are but any Youtube search will put them right.

Jafa's whacked
Give the port a bone
Why don't Auckland F*** off home.

Probably a good one to use if we win. 😅

**Edit - Somome pass this on to the YF because it's a potential banger**

Practice that bit with a quick OE though as it can trip the whole thing up. I've been humming it in my head all day. 😆

Just thinking Carlo doesn't have a chant for him does he? I personally think he deserves one but not sure. Only ones I could suggest is using I Just Can't Get Enough and use Armiento or and it doesn't fit as well or really at all as Zawada did but if you got okay timing wise you could do the Tequila chant using Carlo. Anyways I know my suggestion isn't good

Perhaps a tweeking of the lyrics to Canyonaro song on the Simpsons?

Even singing it as is would work - it’s a kiwi classic that complements the club motto nicely, and unlike many of our regular chants it’s one lots of casuals will know and feel confident joining in on.
