How about we just stick to the 'we're not Auckland anymore' chant ... better if we don't mention rugby at all, besides I don't get that chant either hehe

i reckon it's a brilliant chant, and quite honestly i'd have no problem if it one day became our national anthem

but strategically i think it's better if we leave the whole rugby is inferior thing in the cupboard for a few years yet (particularly this weekend) - the game of football will win people over, as it has all over the planet!)

Um, the tune is over used. . .  I'm not a fan of this one sorry. It's one thing to come up with new lyrics for an already established chant, another to match a great tune with original lyrics as a completely new chant. Perhaps you could try giving that a go. . .

I think the chant my be one to sing alone in your bedroom.

However, Rugby Football Union was the game invented when William Webb Ellis picked up the ball during a game of football and ran with the bloody thing, the other players (from the all boys school) decided to try and manhandle him to the floor.  So take a perfectly good game, mix it with an all boys school and lots of lovely man handling and you get Rugby.
