Fireworks before the game? what are we americans? Waste of funds.

They do the fireworks thing as player run out onto the field before the rugby games. With this being the first 'proper" game for the club, I can see it happening then too.

flag the fireworks, use the funds to get teh 15000 fans singing the same song!!  gold!

I believe they should def call the stadium "the ring of fire" and not the bloody cake tin, we have our own style and own names. This is fotball not rugby!!!

Interestingly the MLS's Chicago Fire have their own "RoF" but it's not their stadium.

Given that Central Coast Mariners' supporters call themselves "Marinators" I figure it'll take quite a lot to become laughing stock... (OK, maybe I'm still sore about last week's result.)

IMO the playing of 'Ring of Fire' at halftime didn't work.  I was singing it as loud as I could but the song isn't really football match material... seemed way too slow.  Phoenix City instead k thx.

and it was tried again over the tannoy last night at the end of the game - didn't work (wrong pace?)

I dunno, at the end of a match I guess it was alright - fit better than at halftime since we're (theoretically) winding down instead of trying to push the atmos up, still I'm not a fan of the song playing at the stadium when we're not getting Phoenix City.  It does help push the name 'ring of fire' for the stadium instead of the 'cake tin' though, so for now its not that bad.
