We've got loud ones and funny ones and quick ones, but the one kind of chant we're really missing is the slow tuneful song (you know, where you actually sing instead of shout) - think 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

We've got Ring of Fire, but to be honest, it's really difficult to sing at any kind of decent volume.

So a couple of hours before the game on Sunday I had a moment of inspiration. A few people had a bit of a preview on Sunday, but if people like this, maybe we can work on it properly next season.

Most importantly, I think it'll be easy to sing loud! So here's a bit of a draft:

It's late in the evening(season)
I'm wondering what clothes to wear
I pull on my Stripy
Put my hat on my head (Put my scarf round my neck)
And the wind blows
And the rain pours down
Oh Wellington, will you be wonderful tonight?

We'll go to the Four Kings
Or the Backbencher
Warm up our voices
Singing Yellow Army
And the wind blows
And the rain pours down
Oh Wellington, will you be wonderful tonight?

(chorus - not sure yet - possibly just skip)

It's time to go home now
And i got an aching head
Another home win and
Three points in the bag
And the wind blew
And the rain poured down
Oh Wellington, you were wonderful tonight!
