I also reckon Yellow by Coldplay would be a great Phoenix anthem and original.

Only problem with "Yellow" is you guys wear black.

...and it's a slow crooning harmonic song rather than a chant and bounce up and down song.

Yeah see your point about Yellow. But reckon that the wild rover song could be worked with? Maybe not a chant but something sung at the pub before everyone leaves for the game?
