Liz and I are going to this one Brandon - same flight on the way there for this game, same flight on the way back from Newy... Difference is that we will be staying in Aussie for the week! :-)

Nice. I wish I could stay, but it's A LOT cheaper for me to fly home and work for the week. So I will see you at both games, and be muttering about you having a good week in between... ;o)

I'll be there mate. Staying at Matt's place in Northmead again. Anyone NOT working Monday? (Don't fly out until after 6pm...)

So who is keen to go to the Smurfs vs. Glory game on Saturday night? I think we have an invite to go to join the Cove.

Maybe meet at PJ Gallager's in the Entertainment Quarter pre-game on Saturday afternoon. 500 m walk to Allianz.

Yes, PJ Gallagher's is what Shaun W has organised. I posted that while I was on the phone with Shaun.

However I was speaking to Steve (TheJanner) at Bethelwoods yesterday and he said there was also an arrangment to go to The Cove's pub, which I think is the Bat and Ball. So we will need coordinate things during this week.

My idea of meeting at PJ gallghers was just a meet and great for the Nix fans that have come across for the game to meet some of the local Nix fans before Sunday. Also the bat and ball is only a 20 minute walk from PJ's as well

Okay Saturday schedule.

  • Land 8.35am SYD
  • Train to Circular Quay
  • Breakfast at Lowenbrau The Rocks (c.9.30am)
  • Walk up the hill to The Lord Nelson for 11-ies
  • Head to the Bat and Ball around 2.30pm-ish.
  • Find the Shed at some point for some pre-match drinks too.
  • Game
  • Post match hilarity
  • Lose my bag (traditional) - note: may happen at any time during the preceeding steps
  • Go looking for my bag
  • Give up looking for my bag, sleep
  • Wake up in the morning, find my bag at the only pub I didn't revisit.
  • Recovery

Update, some of the Cove-ites are talking about Yum Cha - might be between 11-ies at the Lord Nelson and the Bat & Ball... which might mean the Hero of Waterloo follow-up gets omitted this time...
