1966 was a fix?
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Ah Ha! That explains why that dodgy Russian lino made that call in the '66 final

....and why the only unbeaten team in the tournament went out after the 1st round in '74.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Mind you with some of FIFA's decisions since 2000 it can only give credibility to such claims. Germany getting the 2006 WC for example.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Another silly old man from the Charlie Dempsey school of diplomacy.  Top football official says "my team are better than yours and was robbed - twice."   I've never read such bollocks from a top ranking sports official.  On second thoughts...

So Havelange is saying that the Dutch only beat Brazil in 1974 because the game was refereed by a German? Nothing to do with Total Football.

Sounds like blx to me. So sad when senility kicks in like this.

But FIFA wanted 2006 to go to South Africa, not Germany. That's why rotation was made such an issue - it guaranteed the 2010 to Africa - and has since been abandoned.
