Yeah read a bit about it. Kind of the same as AFC Wimbledon, FC United of Manchester. But not made because they hate what their clubs became Man U and Milton Keynes Dons, respectively. Good to see links between Liverpool FC and AFC are good.

Match report from our first ever match against St. Helens Town, result : 1-1

First half:
Took a little while for us to settle down, great piece of football that led to the penalty for us.
Saints were restricted to only a few chances, with our keeper Terry McCormick marshalling his defence superbly.
I really liked the look of our defence, i thought they all had a good game, with our number 4 (names anyone ?) catching the eye.
Second Half:
Saints came back into it, having a few decent shots, none troubling our keeper too much though.
Again, defence was superb.
For me, the man of the match was our Number 7 who played on the left wing, showed some really good skills, and is really quick - definitely one to watch out for. Excellent at crossing the ball too.
I missed the incident that led to their penalty, as the media took a fancy to me - wouldnt leave me alone !

Overall, a great first game, and once the bevvies started to take effect, the atmosphere was electric towards the end.
I think once we all decide on songs etc, then its gonna be bouncing.

Nice touch from the players at the end, they came out and clapped our own little mini-kop behind the goal.

Well done lads, looking forward to the Nelson game.

Not bad for a rookie against a team that plays a league above us
