Where's he heading at the end of the season? I'd love it if Arsene bought him but i dare say his value has skyrocketed in the past 2 months.

hah. its been quite amazing him coming from the Egyptian league to scoring like this. Says alot about Heskey too but Zaki's been scoring even when he hasn't been playing with Emile.

He reminds of Birmingham's striker they had at the end of last season, Zarate.
He was all the talk but had a ridiculous pricetag and pretty much faded...

Lets see how Zaki copes in the cold winter months coming up in England, something his body wouldnt be use to...

Zarate has hardly faded. He's now playing for Lazio and has scored more than a goal a game so far this season.

Possibly Aldershot, although I'm tempted to say Kiddiminster Harriers

Wigan will try everything to keep hold of him, and he may well stay if he feels he owes them for giving him his start in Englsh football. Otherwise, I see him heading to a side just out of the top 4, unless he goes remarkably well then a big 4 team might be interested.

Brucey does an amazing job getting class players from strange places - Palacios, Valencia (maybe it was someone else who got him), Zaki.

Since when is Egypt strange? Or Ecuador for that matter?

Wenger tipped bruce off about Palacios & Valencia, not sure who tipped him off about Zaki.

Egypt is kinda strange. stranger than argentina or holland or france or wherever else you might usually see players get imported from

Aren't the former 2 Jewell signings?

Valencia might be but Palacios certainly isn't.

Either way it doesn't surprise me that Wenger found these two. An eye for talent doesn't quite do him justice.

People are picking Zaki to a big club, but I reckon he might end up a bit further down the pyramid.
Nix, Leyton Orient and Alloa Athletic supporting schmuck.

Why? He's a quality player and has all the necessary attributes to be successful at a high level.

to be fair, the same things were being said about Mido when he was having his hot streak of form.

True, but i remember Mido's attitude and training ethics were questioned before he stepped on the pitch for spurs. I haven't heard any negative murmurings about Zaki.

However, in saying that, Zaki's rise does remind me of one Louis Saha at Fulham...

Was that just before he started his current and long-lasting cold streak of sh*te....?

I didnt realise what the fuss was about until I saw Zaki's second goal at the weekend....wow!

He is a confidence player though and he is benefiting from Steve Bruce's management style and having Palacios and Valencia to deliver good ball....like Andy Johnson and Darren Bent he may need a particular set of circumstances to be successful....it may not travel...

Also defenders may start to read his play style...

But heh if he can score goals like that anywhere near regularly he will be a v valuable player.

Yes but most of them don't tick Wenger's boxes.

Are they french? +1 point
Are they black? +1 point
Are they available below 5 mil? + 1 point
Are they below 23? + 1 point

Not sure what you're getting at there Ben but i don't think it really matters what colour skin the player is that Wenger buys.

Its an observation, Wenger buy's a lot of  players of African descent, a lot of French players, a lot of young players and doesn't pay much money from them.

His signings normally tick one of the above boxes.

Fair play. Wasn't having a go mate, just don't see the point in bringing race or skin colour into it as it's really quite irrelevant.

Three for me, and two for them.
