Im a true Arsenal Supporter, and myself have not been able to grasp
why our season has gone so bad. All i know is that we need to make
one or two signings to keep up with Man U and Chelsea, cause at the
moment were struggling.
I think We should sign a quality Left Back, What do
you gunners fans think?

You need a Damien Mori, someone that can just keep tapping in goals
And a keeper

I think we need a bit more experience in the midfield personally.
Fabregas and Hleb are undoubtedly good players with big futures but
i think they miss a claming influence to settle them down in big
games.
you need to getrid of adebayor he skips training sessions and in
the carling cup final as soon as he came onto the pitch he got red
carded.
A New keeper to replace Lehmann and a finishing coach cause Arsenal
have missed alot of good chances when Henry has been out, plus a
lot of luck is needed too.
But Arsenal haven't done too badly, I think internal turmoil (David Dein), Emirates move, and that fact that so many new players, and young ones, have been added to the first team. Look at the line up not much of the team has played much together because of either being new to the team or due to injury, Diaby, Rosicky, Gallas, Baptista, Djourou, even Hleb, Adebayor haven't been at Arsenal that long

Whats wrong with Clichy?
He doesn't set as many goals up as eboue on the right but he's
pretty solid in defense and quick on attack.
After Lehamnn's performance against tottenham maybe we should
let him go.
Lehmenn will most defenatly leave if not reserve for next season. I
heard we were gunning for Buffon, that would be a great addition.
Personally i think we need an attacking midfielder as when
strikers do get injured we can have like a Steven gerrard or
C.Ronaldo. I mean its not like we dont have strikers, henry, van
persie, walcott, adebayor and theyre all class.

You might be able to tell from my Avatar that i might be a little
(ok, a lot) biased on this one, but i thought it was a disgrace
that not one of the 16 Ar*enal players on the team sheet was

I should be sporting the same avatar as you. And my sentiments
are the same.
I think that the main problem in the team at the moment is
inexperience. They definately have great talent in the team but
goals are lacking at the moment.

If there were any decent english players arsenal would sign them.
As one person has pointed out on another thread, its the
foreign players in the team that make the english look good.
Buffon would be a terrific signing.
What are your thougts on almunia? Could he step up?
Going on previous games ive seen Almunia play hes an average
keeper, but hes not Petr Cech who gets you 12pts a season alone
with his stoping ability, i mean Almunia did crack under pressure
in the Champions league final (F*CKS SAKE) but im sure his
experiance and the way he handles himself has changed.
In reality i see no long term future as a starter for him at
Arsenal.

I think gallas was originally going to be used to cover
left back and centre but Senderos has been playing really average
football so he's playing in the centre more.
I ain't a Arsenal fan but I like Gael Clichy, and isn't that Armand
Traore suppose to be really good.

Of recent Gallas had a argument with one of the younger team
members and cant seem to fix up his problems so the liklyhood of
him staying is about 20%.

Arsenal is the best team in the world and the few english players
who could make the cut have comfortable contracts at other big
clubs. Arsenal need to get a new keeper, Lehmanns getting on. Dont
get me wrong, Lehmann is still a class player but we need a good
back-up. Our defence isn't bad, at least they have
pace (unlike the likes of Oleg Luzhny and Martin Keown).
Its a shame about Gallas if its true.
Lehmann is having an absolute shocker. he's given goals away in the last few games. Wenger said that he was going to promote almunia if lehmann went at the end of the season. I'm not sure what situation is worse, Lehamnn staying and playing like s**t or almunia taking over.
We need another center back to support toure if gallas
goes.

Sure does. If Henry, van Persie and Diaby (for most of the season)
+ many more i'm sure weren't so frequently injured, I think we
could be doing a lot better than we are currently doing. I think
the 2003-04 season speaks for itself - 26wins, 12 draws and 0
losses. And fourth in the league and a Champions League place is
nothing to sniff at, beats 9th place at any rate.
The team certainly miss the older gents. The last half of this
season has been bloody frustrating. CL game a few months back....
23 shots...no goals. And it's been like that most of the season.
There's good times ahead indeed. Let's just get the injured
fixed and teeach the young fellas how to finish over the
(their) summer.

Hahah. Theres no doubt that even with those injuries we are the
most entertaining bunch to watch...now all we need to do is turn
those chances into goals and were in it!!! really think if we
keep building our team, and no injuries, we can win league in no
more than 2 seasons.
OK my personal view is that Almunia is at that level where we can
comfortably use him as a reserve keeper but definitely not as a
replacement for Lehmann. Even now that Lehmann has signed a new
contract I think we should be actively shopping - there seem to be
a few up-and-coming German keepers starting to make it in the
Bundesliga which we may be able to get for a bargain. For me though
the most important signing is an experienced central defender,
preferably one who is flexible enough to cover the flanks if injury
strikes. Looking at the goals conceded late in the game or when we
were under pressure the defence seemed a bit shambolic and I think
we need an experienced leader in there to settle the team. Fair
comment to those who have said that Gallas was bought for this
reason but I dont think Gallas has quite the influence to do the
role.
Finally I think we need to look at a proven striker in the
short term, maybe on loan or on a short contract, to take some of
the golscoring pressure off and allow Henry to get his rhythm back.
Also I am not sure that the young strike force are quite ready for
the job and the more exposure they get to experienced players the
better

Definitely need new goalie, Lehmann sucks, I think that
Arsenal need to finish way better next season if they want
to win anything. Remember the match against West Ham, like 30
chances, not one went into "the auld onion bag".True they were
unlucky and they hit the post a few times but they have to
finish better, full stop.

the gunnerz will be the best team in europe and england i feel in
two or three years time. with denilson having made the step up
along with fabregas, clichy, walcott, van persie, senderos
and adebayor just to name a few under 25 years old(or 20 for
some) all young promising players they are definatly a
team for the future. all arsenal needs is to get a world
class replacement for up and down keeper lehmann. the arsenal
board should keep wenger hes still the most successful arsenal
manager with a plan for the future. you cant judge him just because
of arsenals bad 2nd half to the 07 season.
Sorry mate but Eto coming to liverpool. the ar$e have some great
young player. But great team there only one great team in
europe and will see it again on the 24.05.07
Eto would not suit liverpool one bit. Eto would defenatly suit the
arsenal game better.
One downside to Arsenals Signins would be that if Wenger
leaves after his one year contract, then we can wave goodbye to
Theirry. So do we look to replace him now?

Bhartez is maybe moving? Would you guys buy him? End of

I think Barthez is too old and is prone to performing crazy acts similar to lehmann.
What about an english keeper like ben foster? Although i doubt
Man U will let him go.

Im sure if we lost Fabregas and Henry, the type of cash that
would flow in would allow us to grab 3 star names.
BUT the team would take another year or two to create
chemisty, and if WENGER did leave im not sure if theyre is anyone
who could replace those shoes. Who ever it was would have massive
pressure on their shoulders. Maybe well give Sir Alex a

It aint helped with having Henry and Persie out so long as well as all the injuries we have had to just about every player.
Arsenal are set to sign 22 year old Polish keeper, Lukasz Fabianski
from Legia Warsaw.
Should be an interesting prospect for Lehmann.
