Anfield 89 or Etihad 2012? Simple.

Can't seem to run polls on this awful new forum. So discuss away.

Three for me, and two for them.

I don't remember '89 but I will vote for it anyway. Although the Gooners' victory this year on the last day was epic, we only finished third.

Considering the start you had  i would have thought you would have been ecstatic with third.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Oh I am, trust me. Sunday is honestly up there with one of my fave football moments ever, as the North London pub I was in was just going absolutely mental knowing we'd clinched third, guaranteed CL next year and finished above the scum who were giving it large all season about minding the gap etc.

However, I think it is difficult to compare that with going to the league leaders and having to win by two goals to win the league!

Tbh Sunday was good, but Highbury in 06 and Henry's hat trick vs Wigan when Spurs had the shits against the Hammers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fulop gifting us 3rd.

Anyway, back on topic. Micky Thomas or Swaguero?

Three for me, and two for them.

Agreed, the shits was a better great escape by Arsenal. But I thought we were comparing 11/12 with 88/89.

We are. Title races though, not 3rd/4th place scrambles.

I have always been under the impression that Buffon is ageless, kinda of like Dr. Who....

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

No doubt.  I'd pick Ar5ena1 to be more like a Klingon.

Which is why I went with when Arsenal won it in 88/89, despite not remembering it. I couldn't care less which Manchester club won it this year.

If Buff was, it was only just.

I think arseblog said it best;

"frankly anyone who thinks Man City struggling to beat off 10 man relegation fodder at home is more worthy than Arsenal having to beat the reigning Champions by two clear goals at their own ground – and doing so in the final seconds of injury time – is off their rocker."

Well said that man.

If we're allowed to nominate seasons before our birth, then consider 1936-Fall, when the Meat took out the Garbage.
