If I was being biased: Berbatov

If I was being honest: Ronaldo (unfortunately)

Ronaldo is ok, But i reckon he is quite over rated

Berbatov..now theres a player! What a first year hes had.

With Berbatov, Drogba, Tevez and Vidic all having only one year in the EPL (I think?) I wonder if we could come up with a 'dream team' of EPL rookies?

Just what I was thinking!

As much as it sticks in my throat to say it, I have to go with the general consensus and agree with the choice of Ronaldo.

Drogba for me. In the words of Rick James, he's super freak-ah!

Tevez.

Shouldn't judge the player by the company he keeps...

Gerrard.  I appreciate skills of Drogba and Tevez -  (Ronaldo has too many off moments.)  But Steve Gerrard is always the core of Liverpool success.

Tough one - Cristiano probably but I am a United fan.

A better question would be "Which player from another EPL club would you most want at your club".

In that case I'd say Gerrard.

Kaka is number 1!!!....Oh ok.....well i gots to say...C.Ronaldo best in the first half of the season but Tevez is bringing up the rear.

Michael Essien, Steven Gerrard, Carlos Tevez have all been mentioned and are all pretty inseparable in my mind, but for raw talent, as yet not completely fulfilled, I'd pick Joe Cole.

How about the biggest dud of a buy this season? Shevchenko? Ballack? Khalid Boulahrouz? All Chelsea and all contributory reasons why Mourinho will go this summer.

Mourinho likes to buy big name players who dominate and run the show, and make them play in a term where the manager dominates and runs the show. That type of management doesn't bring the best out fo these hgihly talented players. I reckon other managers could do a far better job with that team given the cash and talent they have available.

This season (with bias) - Cesc
This season (sans bias) - C Ronaldo

I remember it, pure comedy.
The funniest moment of the season IMHO was that miss of Joey "Fart In A Spacesuit" Barton's in a 0-0 draw vs somebody insignificant earlier in the season. About a metre out, keeper nowhere to be seen and he hits the sidenetting. 5.5 million? I think not. Darius Vassel's penalty vs MU would be up there to, in fact, Man City were an effing joke all season. Pearce has got to go. Bernardo Corradi anyone?

I think the problem with Ballack/Sheva is that Abramovich signed them not Mourinho.

Yeah, good point. I think there is more of the Hearts syndrome at Stamford Bridge than most are aware.

Michael Essien has been class this season. Theirry Henry in form is the best though. Most underrated player in the EPL is Morten Gamst Pedersen.

Vidic made his debut last season - so not eligable for a rookie team...

But you should add Abdoulaye Meite, Didier Zakora, Andre Ooijer, Benni McCarthy, Stilian Petrov, Obifami Martins, Tomas Rosicky, and maybe even this young kid Henrik Larson.

Gerrard plays anywhere the manager asks him to just a gun. Tevez single handedly keeping west ham in the prem. Drogba his best year in the prem. But the player of the year would be Jamie Carragher by far the best centre back in the prem.

However - Gerrard has been unable to adjust to playing alongside Frank Lampard for England, whereas Essien and Makalele make fat boy look like quality every week.

As for Carragher - consistent, but not brilliant.

out of lampard and gerrard, gerrard has been the most consistent for england maybe it lampard who can't adjust. but i still think carragher the best.

Drogba, Essien, Ronaldo and Gerrard for different reasons have been the top performing players in the Prem this season, followed closely by Tevez, McCarthy, Berbatov, Carrick, Pederson and Carragher.

But (as much as it burns my blue heart to say it) Cristiano Ronaldo has been the outstanding player this season - for goals, assists, tanties, step overs, creation, dazzling runs and for generally being in the spotlight almost every game - EXCEPT on the biggest stage when he came up against Kaka (he he).

No doubt Ronaldo has been great and been most consistent! player in the league. Im a united fan but i would prefer Gerrard in my team as he is unbelievable and a great leader. Kaka against united in the two champs league games have been awesome. Great pace from nowhere and skilled. Wish he came to premierleague. He did say hes thinks united play like brazil (i dnt believe that) but also he would come to premiership if he left italy!
