OK heres a better game called WHO GETS A JOB!

Yes those managers that make you run a mile or slit your wrists when they are linked to your club. These guys always seem to get a job despite being rubbish. So this season its not who gets the sack but who gets the job. You can have any no hoper you want. They have to be crap though so no Rafas, Wengers or Maureens.

Rules:
10 points for a premiership job. 8 for a championship, 6 for league 1, 4 for league 2, and 2 for The" Razzle Readers Wives league" or what ever the conference is sponsored by these days.

Also 4 points for a Director of football job in the premiership, 2, for championship and 1 for the rest.

6 points for a decent job in Scotland.

10 points for Serie A or La Liga.

3 points for a "footballer Ambassador" type job

-5 points for a pundit job.
-10 points for becoming a scumbag agent
-10 points for taking over, with a porn baron's money, some poor-bastard club.

Here are my list of the obvious quality managers in the running feel free to add your own:

a) Glenn Roeder
b) Neil Warnock
c) Graeme Souness
d) Peter Reid
e) Gary Megson

The one who wins is the one who gets the most points.

Mine is Glenn Roeder to get a championship job at some point this season. Also feel free to add/make up rules.

so you guys nominating Paul Jewel and Kevin Keegan then or picking someone else? For what type job would your nominated person get?

Like I said I'm going for that Giant of the English game Roeder for a championship job which is 8 points. This game is a bit like fantasy manager and a lot like fantasy bloody crap manager.

just wondering  fortean, how many runners can each stable owner have in the race at any one time?

would 3 work?

or could you have one donkey but nominate them for 3 different types of job?

and when one of your 3 gets a job, or moves beyond the planet - you get to replace them??

National Job hmmm tis a poison chalice after all what do people think 8 points for England ? 2 points for the faroe Islands? something like that. I think it would be fun to have Peter Reid becoming head coach for Japan. I'd say that would have to be a 6er.

I reckon one job one person.

That is a great resource Uber.

Feel free guys to make up rules as long as they reasonable

I am amazed that Megson has got in at Bolton, the old boy network is alive and well. What next bearing in mind that the Spurs job is open as is the Ireland job?

So by my own rules then Megson has scored an unbelievable 18 points then? Will this ever be beaten?

Predictions for Spurs job -  Easy.
Predictions for Ireland Job - Money is on O'Leary although he is not popular with the fans.

hey I know, how about every Leeds manager from the last 10 years (except for our current one)!.

Potential:
O'Leary
Graham (probably not involved in management anymore, but dodgy when he was!)
Venables

Yeah worth a bob or 2 on that.

Even though the idea of Roeder "motivating" makes my brain hurt.

It really shows what a lack of quality we have in homegrown English Management. The same old faces doing crap jobs, getting sacked/"leaving by mutual consent" and turning up at another club for the same old merry-go-round.  How many decent English managers are there at the moment 5 at the most? Its depressing.

Yeah there's been alot of media releases this week critising Tottenham for signing Ramos.  Too many foreigners taking positions that should be made available for English managers.  I feel that Wise would have been a better choice.

The Managers Association wants all the Prem Club owners to stop buying non British!

I agree.

What you want to get rid of him at Leeds then? , can't blame you there

That would have been a bold move from the Spurs board with the charming player/manager having played for Wimbledon, Chelsea and Millwall. It would have been on the same scale as when George Graham managed them a few years back,(almost). Still he never played for Arsenal I guess thats one redeeming feature if you are a Spurs fan.
