bolton sign muamba for 5m?

bolton have signed fabrice muamba from birmingham for 5m pounds. He's not that good a player is he?

Bolton aren't loaded so to spend that money on a mediocre player like muamba is a concern for me. The only good thing about him is that he is only 20 but he will need to show a large improvement from last season for me to be convinced about him.

if im not mistaken he's an England U/21 rep and ex age group captain (?)

I think Bolton could be the surprise team next year, having played crap last season, I think they could be about 7th

being a rep doesnt mean he's good lots of reps turn out flops however he could develope in to a really good player but i wasnt impressed with him last season he often didnt start for birmingham and when he did he was pretty bad

Muamba will be great in a 3 man midfield, he has the energy to run the full 90 minutes, most of our plays die out by the 75th minute...
At 20 he has a lot of time to grow as a player and 5 million is not that expensive in todays transfer market, yes it is a bit of a risk but i believe Megson has been doing a good job with the squad so far, ignoring the Rasiak loan of course
