Well we have a grand total of 1 points from 5 Matches, but we should start to find some results soon. All the losses have been by 1 goal and the goal in the draw was conceded on the 90th minute

Bath on Sunday. There second.

I saw Kingstonian play at Braintree a few times in the past. Braintree were a good side in recent years. Is George Borg still the manager there??? He's a legend in non-league.

They have a refreshingly traditional badge, with a old, stitched leather ball hovering above a now no-doubt derelict factory. Beats the corporate logos that adorn the Premier League hands down.

Gosh I remember foggy frosty evening games at Cressing Road against such giants of soccer as Stowmarket Town when Braintree were in Eastern Counties League, with a crowd of 150.  Things have gone up since then!

You didnt mention the draw was against powerhouse team and division favourites Chelmsford City.

PATTO DISAPPOINTED WITH A POINT
Great finish from Burnsy - and we defended well
Manager Lee Patterson spoke to the website about the 1-1 draw at Chelmsford. He said: "I am quite disappointed in that we didn't secure the three points as we led going deep into injury time and the players are all convinced the equaliser was offside. I am not going to criticise the Referee as I thought he had a very good game and he is one of the best in our league, but once again I am ruing our luck. These things happen in football and hopefully we will be due some ourselves. I thought we did really well first half, we matched up in midfield and we said to the players before the game how we could score against them and it was spot on. Lee Burns making a great third man run collecting a deft touch from Sean Marks and finishing well. Losing Lee Burns to injury was a blow as he was doing really well. We had to reshuffle the side, but we defended well when Chelmsford put several balls into our box. The goal seems very cruel, and I think we could have done a bit better when we had the ball a fraction earlier high up the pitch. It's something we can improve on, but credit to the players for the performance. We still lack a little physically, and a few players were tiring towards the end, we are looking at doing some extra work in that department with some extra training to ensure we finish games properly".

IRON DENIED BY LATE LEVELLER
Goal on 96 minutes - sees Braintree held at Chelmsford
Braintree Town made the short journey to near-neighbours and newly promoted Chelmsford City on Monday and put in their best performance of the season to come back with a point from a 1-1 draw. With the wind behind them, Iron dominated the first forty-five minutes and finally made the break through on 35 minutes. Sean Marks' flick released Lee Burns some 40 yards from goal and he shook off the attentions of a couple of lumbering challenges before sliding the ball past the stranded Danny Gay from the edge of the box. After the break the home side came more into the game with the conditions in their favour, but found the Iron defence well-marshalled by Joe Bruce and Ryan Moran. Chelmsford's best chance seemed to come just after the hour mark when a stinging volley from Oli Berquez was punched over by Craig Holloway. But Braintree's hard work in defence was finally undone in the sixth minute of time added on. A suspiciously offside-looking punt fell to Kevin James who tucked the ball past Holloway to the amazement of the 1,711 crowd. Next up for The Iron is the visit of second-placed Team Bath to Cressing Road this coming Saturday, 30th August, with kick-off at 3pm.

Haven't updated in a while so I feel I better....

Patto has been dumped and currently no permanent replacement has been named.

After a less than average start to the season the iron have moved up to 12th, after another heart breaking goal in the 90th minute meant we only got a draw on Saturday.

Braintree Town 1-1 Eastleigh

Eastleigh's fight to catch up to the Blue Square South league leaders suffered an obstacle after they failed to find their form when they visited Braintree town on Saturday.

The scores were level at half time, but striker Danny Hockton netted the hosts into the lead in the 57th minute.

Eastleigh looked like they had run out of steam until Scotsman Tom Jordan came to their rescue in the 90th minute to ensure the spoils were shared.
