Just putting it out there, what others think about the resserecution of the Home Championships, last won by the Welsh me thinks.
It was always good fun to play the other home nations, and instead of the home sides playing crappy friendlies when there scheduled. The home nations plus the Republic could all play each others. I would go as far to suggest that they could all play qulaifing tornamants for either the World/Euro Cups, as there rankings would be in the right ball park, and this would always ensure that one of the sides reaches the finals.
Im not suggesting that England would always qulaify through this route, as Northen Ireland famosly beat England, and so did the Scots truimph over England, although England did enough to win over 2 legs.
What do you guys think?

If the Associations/Federations concerned want, have the means and public interest to do it, that's fair enough.
But no way should a tournament like that serve as a qualifying group for any serious Championship (meaning World Cup or EURO by this).

Would be good every two years between world cup and euro champs,But not for qualifing purposes.

I miss the old Home Championships. they were fun to watch. England V Scotland - always a testing encounter. Watching Wales & Northern Ireland in action. Club mate versus club mate at the end of a season. 42 league games, cup games and home nations as well as World cup qualifiers etc. players didn't moan like they do today about fixture lists.
Playing for your country was an honour and most would play for free unlike todays lot of greedy bastards.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!
