Are there any other Bristol City fans on here? I'm taking a GAP year over here, working in Somerset, so I get up to the games every so often... went to the game on Tuesday night, going on Saturday. Anyone else?

You're the first I have seen. This should be a very interesting game. Hull deserve to win after so long without a major achievement. Bristol City can go up with us next season!!

But what about back-to-back promotion for Bristol City? Gary Johnston doesn't deserve at shot in the top flight? Lee Trundle and Adriano Basso either? I can see why people want Hull to go up but there should be a team in the West Country in the top flight.

Anyway, let the best team win on Saturday. Is anyone else on here going to be there, at either end of the ground?

If Bristol miss out, how do you think they'd go next season? back to back prmo's are a real confidence thing, would losing damage the team for next season?? Mind you, if Bristol go up, there'd have to be a few purchases to keep them up. Hows the financial things? I mean is the club doing ok or are they stretched?

Go Bristol, GJ on fire i expect him to lead BC to the prems. Carle, Trundle and Noble ave been good leading up to wembley. Carle i think will be key if BC are to win, and hopefully score his first goal.

I think the only way Bristol is to survive the first year and not end up like another Derby IF they go up, is to do what Sunderland did and be ruthless in the preseason and cut any player who isn't prem league level. But I don't know if they ave the finances to do so.Nestling2008-05-20 19:56:44

Have followed Bristol because of Carle. There will be an Aussie going up either way - Garcia or Carle.

i lived in Bristol 1999-2000
worked at ashton Gate as a rent-aguard-good set up-but i played for Easton Cowboys and most of them supported the pirates (Rovers), so i kinda did too, although i wasn't fussed

Day after Bristol derby all the bus shelters would be smashed and htere'd be blood on the street- mental rivalry really

so, i kinda support them- but Easton Cowboys are my team from the West Country!

Hey, I'm down in near Shepton Mallet, at this village called Cranmore off the A361.

About whether Bristol City have the finances, I doubt it. They were League One before this year. Bristol, as a city, should have a premier league football team. They have a large enough population and everything like that, but I think it is the money side of things that is the reason they aren't.

Where is Minehead?

And don't forget Basso?

Minehead is the town infamous for BUTLINS! The holiday camp full of clueless Brummies (Birmingham people) who come down with their kids and spend all their week in the camp rather than see the places around the area........classy.
