The FA seem to have confirmed that Cardiff will be playing in the UEFA Cup next season if they win the FA Cup. Finally a sensible move from the FA.

I believe that if Cardif want to play in the English Cup, then they should forfeit their place in the Welsh Cup. I have no issues of them continuing to play in the FA Cup, nor any team in Scotland either on the same conditions.
And if they win it, yes they should rightly be able to claim their place in Europe.

So phoenix in the ACL on this precedent...
The difference is that Wales is a member of UEFA, whereas NZ isn't part of AFC, so the Nix issue is a bit more complicated.

Cardiff have not been allowed to play in the Welsh Cup since the early 80's as we are part of the English League systems.We are still unfortunately affiliated to the FAW,hopefully though we will soon join the FA.
