Thought the commentators were interesting on this - one guy kept crapping on what a 'wonderful' ball from Gerrard it was, and neither really criticised Cech for his indecision.

In reality, it was a fairly hopeful ball to the near post that should have been collected by the keeper who wasn't sh*t-scared to come out and take a bit of contact (guess Cech's history had something to do with it) without much problem. Wonder if we'd have heard the same 'analysis' if the players involved weren't Gerrard and Cech.

Even my wife said the keeper should have had that.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

oh for gods sake how did he get into that position. thought it was guna be him failing to come to a cross but that was much, much worse

people claim that he hasnt been the same since his injury which is in some aspects true (rushing to the feet of a striker) but i dont think his injury has much if any effect on him catching a cross an could certainly not be blamed for that fourth goal by croatia

pretty tight so far. You should expect Torres to be playing well, his kind of system and he generally did quite well in derbies.

naw, the commentators are so understanding of Torres all of a sudden...

and it continues...

more dropped points, would be worse if not for petr.

25 shots at goal and only a handfull on target.

yeah, doesn't make for great viewing! Torres had a few chances and was wasteful up front.. At least he got the ball a bit more though.

upon watchin the replay it was encouraging to see torres gat some decent chances, though his finishing left a bit to be desired. i feel he can work well in the Europa League side Chelsea system, but that means having drogba on the bench. if there is a decent way to have torres and drogba up front im sure carlo will find it.

our attacking force is getting on with malouda 30, drogba 32, anelka 31.
still a few good season to get out of them yet though

a younger front 3 would be torres 26, sturridge 21, kalou 25.
so still a good future at the bridge as far as our atting options go.

also theres zhirkov at 27 who is training again now after a long injury layoff not to mention the two 19 year olds kakuta and borini.

Carlo always said he wanted to manage Roma and now that Ranieri has left...probably more likely to go at the end of the season

our march to European glory continues this week against away at Copenhagen.

will be tough away given our form and what not. would love to come away with a win but scoring draw wouldn't be terrible.

seen the goals from anelka. two very classy finishes

at least we have one inform striker. Malouda has been a bit quiet the last few games. would be good to see kalou given a start out wide in the front 3.

also it was bloody good to see zhirkov back on the pitch. when fit and firing he gives us another good option out wide up front or in the middle. has linked well on the left with cole in the past
