Just added it to my phone as well :) Looks awesome on HTC One :D
Coliseum Sports - EPL Overlords
Since the fact that the times on the PremierLeaguePass homepage have been switched to British time, I got annoyed and wrote a script to convert the times to local time (NZ time for us).
Before:
After:
To install it, firstly install the GreaseMonkey (Firefox) or TamperMonkey (Chrome) extension, and then visit https://openuserjs.org/scripts/patrick478/PremierL... and hit install, the follow the prompts.
It should work perfectly and convert the times of the upcoming games shown on the PLP homepage, but I haven't thoroughly tested it so there might be some bugs. It also won't convert the times in the Match Viewer window, that's much harder to do unfortunately.
You are legend!
Top effort for trying to make our lives that bit easier.
Patrick, You F@#$ing RULE! #SackNik (Not really)
Fantastic work Patrick. Thanks. Apparently that was impossible for PLP due to now operating in different regions.
My code detects what timezone the user is in, and converts the times based on that. So it'll work for the people in Taiwan and Singapore too. So I'm gonna bullshit on PLP's claim that it's too hard to do. Especially since I wrote that while watching the rugby last night.
Great to see you still have Sky Patrick
give it a rest AP. Why do you even still troll this thread? You clearly don't use or intend to use the service.

How is that relevant?
Turfmoore, have you done it mate ?

You rock!
Do you know what flash settings you changed? Would love to be using Chrome.
for those with Chrome a possible cause of issues with streaming services is that they added a different flash client, Pepperflash, as default that clashes with Adobe. Some very clear instructions how to disable Pepper here:
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/enable-syst...
Thank you!
After doing this and doing a really quick test it looks so much better!! Yay, Firefox can now fuck right off and I am back to Chrome!!
Did the PLP guys p*ss in your chips or something AP?
You come across as a right twat on this thread
Might be a bit of a silly question, but is there a way to exit the video by using the mouse when it's at full screen? Had laptop connected to TV last night to watch the 20 Questions with Aaron Ramsey then wanted to watch the highlights. Had a wireless mouse with me on the couch for pausing/rewinding etc but couldn't find a way to exit the video when it finished so had to go to the computer and do it. Is there a way or would I need a wireless keyboard so I can press escape?

If you have a fancy wireless mouse, you can assign commands to buttons. Otherwise I have the same problem as you.

Me too, the fullscreen button onscreen disappears and hence can't leave fullscreen, I think it would require PLP to change the config of that screen, I know NFL GamePass (Same platform) has the fullscreen button still visible. (I also use a wireless mouse), but have to get up to quite full screen :(
This from the Geekzone Forum re the Samsung TV Apps...
"Tried to view the Swansea v Burnley game earlier this morning on the Samsung TV app, and had the message "the game has ended". I could see no way to go to the start of the game. Accessed from laptop with no problems. Tried a couple of other games, and they were the same"
------------------------------------
Reply from PLP support...
"Sorry for the inconvenience.Yes There was a delay for the recaps of recent games on Samsung Smart Tv application.I asked our team in united States and they said the games will always be delayed for the tv app as they need to be encoded. However All the recaps were available on samsung Tv app around 9.25 am."
---------------------------------------
Not brilliant - having to wait until 930 in the morning before you see a game?
"Watch whenever you want."
Seems smart TVs aren't as smart as they think they are...
Chatham cup being streamed online. No need to pay sky to broadcast your content any longer.
It's not even OFC TV either, that's yet another company designed to produce and broadcast content over the Internet!
There's a company based in Tawa called R2 that also does it, Swimming NZ hires them to broadcast all of their national swim meets, that last for up to 5 days. There's no way that Swimming NZ could afford to pay Sky to broadcast 5 days of their national meets.
This change isn't limited to sport either, things like The Big Sing secondary schools competition and NetHui are also able to afford to have their 3 day events broadcast over the internet, with surprisingly large viewership figures.
The sooner Sky loses its mojo completely, the better.
Anyone have trouble with the Man City - Liverpool game this morning? I didn't watch it but my Dad said he started from the beginning while it was still playing and it buffered a lot and picture quality was terrible.
I watched the first 10 mins before heading off to work with no issues.

I had DNS issues to start with, and it was a bit jumpy to start with, but got better quickly (Bout 10 mins in) for me.

You're one good b*stard Patrick!
There's 164 pages of that over here...
Anyone heard anything about the draw for the Samsung TV from the text code for the free trial handed out at the stadium? I asked PLP on Facebook the other day but they haven't responded.

I'm guessing this was all bullshit.
Yeah it's odd there was no mention of a competition entry deadline or when it would be drawn.

I've asked them via twitter. Will report back.
Cool thanks.
Did anyone else get the email from them with the following subject line:
"Fuck, you've still got time to use your FREE Premier League pass"
You stay classy San Diego.
Ron Burgundy, is that you?

I don't believe they would do this. Can you get a screenshot ?
I kind of do.
They try to be 'edgey' on social media etc but tend to take that too far at times IMO.
Actually, looking at it in a bit more detail, the body of the emails says:
"Hi Fuck
The Barclays Premier League is two rounds old and who
would've picked Swansea to be in the top three?"
It seems the account registered with this email address has been set up with the name Fuck. Don't recall setting it up like that and it doesn't seem like something I would do (I tend to use Frankie Mac or Bobby Moore) but I do have a number of idiotic friends. It does explain the weird email that was received, although I would expect that their system that spams all email addresses would pick something like that up.
